Bhopal, January 21: Harsha Rinchariya, the former model who captivated audiences during Mahakumbh by embracing a spiritual life, has made headlines once again. She’s now returning to the glamour world of modeling, citing interference from certain religious leaders seated on high spiritual thrones.
In an exclusive conversation, Rinchariya revealed the challenges she’s faced without naming individuals. ‘Some people on the gaddi don’t want me to progress,’ she stated firmly. Despite her dedication, she’s encountered relentless harassment that forced her hand.
Explaining her decision, Rinchariya shared, ‘I left everything behind to walk this path. But I realized I’m not a saint fully dependent on donations. Spreading religion makes sense only with personal resources. Now, I’ll balance my work to fulfill responsibilities while living fully.’
Practical realities hit hard too. ‘Even buying rations requires money. Who gives credit forever?’ she questioned. Her choices and character face constant scrutiny, with zero support in sight.
She refrained from pointing fingers but highlighted the pattern: ‘Repeated obstacles, harassment, and premeditated blocks to my advancement— that’s wrong. Some sadhus are trying this.’
On abandoning Sanatan Dharma, she clarified, ‘I was born into it; I don’t ‘adopt’ my own faith. I paused promotional activities via events, social media, and youth engagement, not the religion itself.’
Post-Mahakumbh plans to connect youth, especially girls, with dharma were thwarted. ‘Gaddi occupants block my contributions to society,’ she lamented, underscoring a deeper malaise in spiritual circles where personal agendas stifle progress.
