    Shah Rukh Khan’s recent Best Actor award at the 71st National Film Awards for his performance in ‘Jawan’ adds another feather to his already illustrious cap. The actor, often called ‘King Khan’, has a long history of awards, but the National Award was a cherished goal.

    The 1997 film ‘Yes Boss,’ featuring Shah Rukh Khan, was a box office success, and the song ‘Chand Taare Tod Laun’ became an instant hit. The makers approached Javed Akhtar to write a song for the film’s lead actor. They described the character as very ambitious.     Akhtar mentioned that he told Shah Rukh Khan that he would become a superstar. He crafted the lyrics of ‘Chand Taare Tod Laun’ based on his first impression of the actor.

    The song ‘Chand Taare Tod Laun’ is a source of motivation for Shah Rukh Khan. At the success party of ‘Pathaan’, Shah Rukh Khan was asked how he motivates himself during challenging times. He replied that he immediately sings this particular song as it keeps him motivated. He also expressed that this song is close to his heart.
