    Rakesh Roshan, initially an actor in Bollywood, shifted his focus to directing and established himself as a successful filmmaker. He is the father of actor Hrithik Roshan, son of musician Roshan Lal Nagrath, and brother of music director Rajesh Roshan. He launched his son, Hrithik Roshan and also worked with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.

    Roshan began his acting career in 1970 with ‘Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani’ and appeared in films such as ‘Khel,’ ‘Khoobsurat,’ and ‘Kala Bazar.’ He later transitioned to directing.

    His directorial debut was ‘Khudgarz.’ Here are five of his most successful directorial ventures.

    ‘Karan Arjun’ (1995), directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan, starred Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. The film featured Rakhee Gulzar, Amrish Puri, Kajol, and others. The film’s worldwide collection reached 431 million rupees, with a budget of 60 million rupees. The film featured hit songs such as ‘Yeh Bandhan To’.

    ‘Koyla’ (1997), directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan, starred Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit. The film included Amrish Puri, and others. The film collected 279.6 million rupees worldwide on a budget of 120 million rupees. The film is noted for its action sequences and has popular songs like ‘Tanhai Tanhai’.

    ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’ (2000), directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan, launched Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel. The film was a significant success, featuring hits such as ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’ and ‘Ek Pal Ka Jeena’. The budget was 100 million rupees, and the worldwide collection was 789.3 million rupees.

    ‘Koi… Mil Gaya’ (2003), directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan, starred Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta. This film was based on an alien encounter. The budget was 280 million rupees and the worldwide collection was 802.9 million rupees. The film is known for its songs like ‘Idhar Chala Main Udhar Chala’ and ‘Jaadoo Jaadoo’.

    ‘Krrish,’ the sequel to ‘Koi… Mil Gaya,’ was released in 2006, followed by ‘Krrish 3’ in 2013. Both films were successful. The Krrish series has featured Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, and other prominent actors.
