Rakesh Roshan, initially an actor in Bollywood, shifted his focus to directing and established himself as a successful filmmaker. He is the father of actor Hrithik Roshan, son of musician Roshan Lal Nagrath, and brother of music director Rajesh Roshan. He launched his son, Hrithik Roshan and also worked with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan.

‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’ (2000), directed and produced by Rakesh Roshan, launched Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel.
