The second part of Lucifer (L2: Empuraan) of Lucifer, the Malayalam film in 2019, has now been released. Mohanlal’s film is directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran.

L2: The story in Empuran (Empuraan) begins with the teenager who survived in communal violence in 2002. From there the story comes to Kerala. A new political force is emerging five years after Jatin Ramdas’s disappointing tenure as the Chief Minister of Kerala. At the same time, Lusifer has now created his big network abroad as Qureshi Abraram (Mohanlal), but he is against the business of drugs. He kills his rival mafia kingpin Kavuga and conspires to kill himself. On the other hand, Jatin announces to form his new party and alliances with Baba Bajrangi (Abhimanyu Singh). Lucifer returns to Kerala on receiving news of deteriorating political atmosphere in Kerala.

    Direction and cinematography

Let us know that the level of L2: Empurana (L2: Empuraan) is quite large compared to Lucifer, but there is a lack of tightness in the story. The story written by Muli Gopi has failed to provide the expected depth about the seakkal. The beginning is very slow, then after Mohanlal’s stylish entry, there is a slight speed in the story. The story is moving between Qureshi, Kabuga, Chinese drug gang and the political developments of the British intelligence agency MI6 and Kerala. By the time you understand an issue, the story goes fast to the other side. The timing of the film is also very high. However, many visuals and cinematography of the film are fantastic. If you have not seen the original film Lucifer, then there will be difficulty in understanding the characters of the sequel.

    Performance

Lucifer i.e. Mohanlal’s entry in the film is about an hour after the film starts. He is seen in his familiar style. Prithviraj Sukumaran has also had action scenes this time, his focus is more visible to make the film less on the story in Hollywood style. She leaves an impact in the given role, but her daughter’s character is shown superficially. The vessel of Towino Thomas has also not been coined properly.
