Episode 9 Highlights: Belly’s Parisian Escape in The Summer I Turned Pretty

After Jeremiah cancels the wedding, Belly impulsively departs for Paris to begin a new chapter. Jeremiah is emotionally distraught, and Steven and Taylor try to offer him support. He anticipates a call from Belly but is left disappointed. Simultaneously, Conrad returns to support Jeremiah. Belly informs her mother, Laurel, about her move to Paris and deals with the theft of her bag. She recovers her bag and meets new people. Belly subsequently ends her relationship with Jeremiah via phone, which deeply upsets him. Steven also discovers Jeremiah’s infidelity and renews his relationship with Taylor. Jeremiah, still blaming Conrad for the failed relationship, is distressed and learns that Belly has moved to Paris. New characters, played by Fernando Cattori, Corinna Brown, and Isaline Prevost Rade, join the cast. Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, and Gavin Casalegno maintain their lead roles. Lola Tung hinted that the series finale will bring heartbreak for the characters. The cast includes Jackie Chung, Rachel Blanchard, Rain Spencer, and Sean Kaufman.
