Deepak Tijori on Maine Pyar Kiya: ‘Salman and I had been competing for the function of Prem’

Actor Deepak Tijori is remembered for his roles in Aashiqui (1990), Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992), Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa (1994) amongst others. However do you know he had auditioned for Salman Khan’s fashionable movie Maine Pyar Kiya?

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Tijori printed that he had auditioned for the function of Prem in Maine Pyar Kiya. The actor mentioned he and Salman Khan had been competing “neck to neck” for it. Then again, after observing the rushes in their audition, Sooraj Barjatya and his circle of relatives made up our minds to forged Salman.

“Sure. Salman Khan and I auditioned for it. I used to be competing. Sooraj Barjatya later informed me that once observing the rushes, the Barjatya circle of relatives made up our minds to head forward with Salman Khan. Salman and I had been the one two individuals who had been competing for the function of Prem, neck-to-neck. That they had even informed me that if they chose me, they’d like to modify my title at the display screen and mentioned how they’d love to release me,” he recalled.

Whilst Deepak Tijori had a tight run as an actor, his directorial occupation didn’t take off. His directorial ventures Oops! (2003) and Tom Dick and Harry 2 (2008) had been extensively panned.
