Mumbai’s entertainment scene just got a surprising new entrant. International cricket umpire Anil Chaudhary has stepped into the world of acting with his debut in the high-energy Haryanvi gangster anthem ‘Goli To Chale Gi’. The music video, which dropped recently, has already sparked buzz for its bold narrative, slick visuals, and pulse-pounding action sequences.
Directed by former fashion designer turned filmmaker Suman Guha and produced by Naresh Jha under Epic Films, the track features Diamond’s powerful vocals. Shot in a cinematic style, it feels more like a mini action flick than a typical music video. Chaudhary shares the screen with Rohit Kharab, Chandni Raut, and Hamesh Dixit, all delivering standout performances.
Chaudhary, known for his calm demeanor on the cricket field, brought the same confidence to the camera. ‘Acting and umpiring each have their own thrill,’ he shared in a recent interview. ‘I’ve done Haryanvi commentary before, so the camera didn’t intimidate me. Suman guided me brilliantly, and I’m grateful to Naresh for this opportunity. The shoot was a blast.’
The launch event turned into a star-studded affair, drawing celebrities like Gurmeet Choudhary, Rajneesh Duggal, Rajeev Sen, Mishika Chaurasia, Vipin Bhardwaj, Siddhi Ahuja, and Priyanka. They showered praise on Chaudhary’s natural screen presence and wished him luck in his new venture.
Rajneesh Duggal, who has collaborated with Guha on three prior projects, raved about the director’s innovative approach. Gurmeet Choudhary called the video ‘outstanding’ and predicted it would resonate with audiences. Guha teased two more upcoming tracks with fresh concepts, while Jha announced Epic Films’ ambitious plan to release a new song every month, keeping fans hooked with fresh content.
Chaudhary’s seamless transition from cricket pitches to film sets highlights how diverse talents can thrive across worlds. As ‘Goli To Chale Gi’ climbs the charts, it’s clear this umpire-turned-actor is just getting started.
