In the wake of reports suggesting a separation between Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson after an eight-year relationship, Martin, the frontman of Coldplay, generated buzz by publicly mentioning Johnson’s upcoming film, Materialists, during a recent concert.

During the performance, Martin stopped to share, “Big love to everyone. Don’t forget to see Materialists. We love you,” before waving and leaving the stage, with fans responding enthusiastically. The clip, shared on social media, quickly went viral, prompting excited reactions from fans.

This event follows reports that the couple had quietly ended their relationship. Dakota Johnson’s next project, ‘Materialists,’ is set to be released on June 13. The film also features Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal. Chris Martin, along with Coldplay, is currently on a world tour, recently performing at Stanford. The band also hosted a five-day show in India in January 2025.
