    New Delhi buzzed with innovation as Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar graced the India AI Impact Summit and Expo 2026 at Bharat Mandapam on Tuesday. Expressing immense pride in India’s burgeoning AI capabilities, Pednekar highlighted the nation’s leadership in this transformative technology.

    In an exclusive conversation, Pednekar shared her excitement about the event. ‘I’m thrilled to be here,’ she said. ‘As an Indian, attending this AI summit fills me with pride. I’ll soon join a session and return to share more insights.’ She emphasized the summit’s role as a pivotal platform showcasing India’s technological advancements.

    Pednekar underscored AI’s potential to benefit every societal segment when harnessed responsibly. Her participation focused on discussions around AI’s societal impacts and ethical deployment, aligning with the summit’s core themes.

    Karnataka Digital Economy Mission CEO Sanjeev Kumar Gupta also spotlighted the state’s forefront position in AI. ‘This summit truly demonstrates India’s AI prowess, with Karnataka leading the charge,’ Gupta noted. He outlined three key focus areas: AI’s role in e-governance, fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in startups, and building a comprehensive AI ecosystem through international collaborations.

    Karnataka showcased pioneering AI initiatives in e-governance, healthcare, agriculture, and startups, reinforcing Bengaluru’s status as India’s AI hub. Gupta highlighted efforts in AI skill development, ethical guidelines, and global partnerships.

    The summit drew representatives from over 30 countries, more than 300 exhibitors, and global AI leaders. Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the event emphasizes shaping AI for humanity, inclusive growth, and a sustainable future, marking a milestone in India’s tech journey.
