Amitabh Bachchan offered a heartfelt tribute to the late composer Aadesh Shrivastava on his birth anniversary, recalling their close relationship. Bachchan recounted their impromptu studio sessions, highlighting the vast amount of collaborative work they produced. He lamented the premature end to Shrivastava’s career, who passed away on September 5, 2015. Shrivastava faced immense hardship, including battling cancer and dealing with the indifference of some industry colleagues. He expressed concern for his family’s well-being, particularly his wife, Vijayta Pandit, and their sons. Shrivastava’s health struggles led to financial difficulties. Bachchan praised Shrivastava’s musical talents, mentioning his outstanding tunes in ‘Chalte Chalte’ and ‘Baghban,’ and his collaboration on ‘Dev’. Bachchan also noted Shrivastava’s short film ‘Sanaa’, a powerful exploration of child prostitution. Despite facing adversity, Aadesh continued to create original music and excel in his craft, which included acclaimed background scores for films such as ‘Border’, ‘Refugee’, and ‘LOC Kargil.’ The lack of support for his family after his passing was a source of great sorrow.
