Mumbai’s entertainment scene is buzzing as Telugu superstar Allu Arjun celebrates a major milestone in his illustrious career. The romantic comedy ‘Happy’, one of his early breakthroughs, has clocked 20 years since its release. Paired opposite the charming Genelia D’Souza, the film captured hearts with its blend of love, laughter, and family bonds.

To commemorate the occasion, Allu Arjun took to social media platform X, sharing a nostalgic post filled with behind-the-scenes snapshots from the shoot. The images feature the entire cast and crew, including Genelia, Manoj Bajpayee, director A. Karunakaran, and others, evoking fond memories of a joyful production.

In his heartfelt caption, Allu Arjun reflected on the film’s significance: ’20 years of Happy! One of the most joyful rides in my cinematic journey. Grateful to director A. Karunakaran for this beautiful voyage. My lovely co-star Genelia, brilliant Manoj Bajpayee, and the entire cast made it unforgettable. Heartfelt thanks to music maestro Yuvan Shankar Raja, technicians, and especially my father Allu Aravind for his unwavering support.’

Directed by A. Karunakaran, ‘Happy’ revolves around a pizza delivery boy navigating romance, friendship, and family drama. Manoj Bajpayee shone as a police officer, while Brahmanandam added comic flair. Produced by Geeta Arts under Allu Aravind, the film’s soundtrack by Yuvan Shankar Raja became an instant hit.

A remake of the 2004 Tamil film ‘Ayutha Ezhuthu’, ‘Happy’ also has a Hindi dubbed version titled ‘Dum’. This milestone underscores Allu Arjun’s evolution from a promising talent to a pan-India icon, reminding fans why his debut-era charm still resonates today.
