Mumbai’s rising star Ahan Shetty is basking in the glory of his latest blockbuster ‘Border 2’, which has captivated audiences nationwide. Amid the film’s roaring success, the young actor opened up about his unique ritual to tame the butterflies before crucial scenes.
In an exclusive interview, Ahan revealed that music is his ultimate weapon against anxiety. ‘I slip on my noise-cancelling headphones and dive into a personal playlist,’ he shared. ‘Whether in the van or a quiet tent, I pick tracks that match the scene’s emotion—be it intense rock for action or soulful melodies for drama. This blocks out all distractions, from set pressure to external noise, letting me zero in on the moment. The nerves don’t vanish, but I channel them effectively.’
Ahan’s role as a daring Navy officer in ‘Border 2’ demanded underwater prowess, which he mastered with professional training. During the 2020 pandemic, he earned his PADI scuba diving license after rigorous theory sessions, pool drills, and open-water dives. ‘Swimming was second nature from my school team days,’ he recalled. ‘When director Anurag Singh pitched the water sequences, I was thrilled. We trained two months prior, and with top-notch dive and safety crews on set, every dive felt seamless. Seeing it on screen is exhilarating.’
The film chronicles the heroic Battle of Basantar in the 1971 India-Pakistan war, where Indian soldiers valiantly defended the Punjab-Jammu sector. Starring alongside Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, and Varun Dhawan, Ahan’s performance has struck a chord, blending raw emotion with high-stakes action.
As ‘Border 2’ continues to dominate box offices, Ahan’s insights offer a glimpse into the mindset of a star in the making, proving that preparation and passion conquer all fears.
