Bad news is being received about Sukumar, the director of the film ‘Pushpa 2’. Income Tax Department officials raided the house and office of director Sukumar in Hyderabad on Wednesday, January 22. The raid started early in the morning and continued for several hours. It is reported that Sukumar was at Hyderabad airport when he was taken back to his residence by Income Tax officials, following which the raid was conducted. Just a day before this, the house of producer Dil Raju was also raided by the Income Tax Department.

The Income Tax raids have come at a time when Sukumar is enjoying the success of his new film Pushpa 2: The Rule. Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna have been seen in the lead roles in this film. Dil Raju’s properties were also raided
On Tuesday itself, Income Tax had also raided the properties of film producer Dil Raju. The department has simultaneously raided Raju’s offices and residences in Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills. During this time, the properties of his brother Shirish, daughter Hansita Reddy and other relatives have been searched. Reportedly, the income tax raids on Dil Raju’s properties are part of the investigation into suspected tax evasion and alleged financial irregularities.

More than 55 teams deployed for raids
Let us tell you that the Income Tax Department’s investigation has also reached Pushpa 2: The Rule’s producers Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar Yelamanchili of the production house Maitri Movie Makers. More than 55 teams have been deployed for search operations at eight locations linked to Raju and Mythri movie makers.
