Shabbir Ahmed, Bhopal. Bollywood actor Dharmendra Deol has been awarded the Madhya Pradesh Government’s National Kishore Kumar Samman 2022. Director, Culture N.P. Namdev honored Dharmendra with the National Kishore Kumar Award-2022 on May 18, 2024 at his Mumbai residence. This honor has been given to Deol for his continuous activity in the field of acting, excellent creation, long practice and best examples.
Government of Madhya Pradesh, Culture Department, following its well-established tradition of honoring excellence and creativity at the national level, has instituted the annual National Kishore Kumar Award for direction, acting, screenplay and songwriting in the field of cinema. This prestigious honor of Madhya Pradesh Government for the year 2022 has been given to popular actor Dharmendra Deol.

As soon as he received the honour, Dharmendra Deol became emotional and said, ‘I am grateful to the Madhya Pradesh Government and Culture Department for giving me this national honor established in the name of a great personality like Kishore Kumar. I am thankful to my fans, whose eternal love always remains with me. Among the great artists who have been given this honor before me, some are like my guru, some are respectable and some are also my colleagues, today I am very happy to see my name in their list.
