  • Why will Netflix stop working on Apple TV models after July 31? Find Out the Reason Here |

New Delhi: Netflix has informed its subscribers that it will no longer work on the second and third-generation Apple TV models. Netflix, a subscription-based streaming service, will not be available for these Apple TV models after July 31.

Netflix has taken this move to maintain the best possible Netflix experience, as per a report by MacRumors. However, these models came out more than a decade ago and do not have Apple’s App Store. Notably, the company also updated its support page.

The second and third-generation Apple TV models were announced in 2010 and 2012, respectively. It is important to note that the third-gen model had the A5 chip and supported Full HD streaming. The first three generations of Apple TVs are already considered “obsolete” by Apple.

Apple considered these models “obsolete” when the tech giant discontinued service for hardware, which is seven years after it stopped selling a product. It is expected that the tvOS 18 will eventually drop support for the fourth-generation Apple TV HD as we approach WWDC 2024.

Earlier, Netflix stopped support for other old devices, including Samsung and Vizio smart TVs as well as first-generation Roku boxes in 2019. Netflix has announced that it will not develop a native app for the Apple Vision Pro headset and will also prevent users from running the iPad version of its app on the device.

The Apple Vision Pro boasts the ability to run millions of iPhone and iPad apps, but Netflix, along with other developers, is opting out. Consequently, users will need to access Netflix through the Safari web browser, similar to how it works on Macs.

According to a statement made by Netflix in Bloomberg which states that “Our members will be able to enjoy Netflix on the web browser on the Vision Pro, similar to how our members can enjoy Netflix on Macs,”

  • Microsoft Faces Complaints in EU Over Violating Children’s Data Privacy |

London: Privacy rights organisation NOYB on Tuesday lodged two complaints with Austria’s data protection authority against tech giant Microsoft for allegedly violating children’s data protection rights.

The non-profit organisation said that Microsoft’s ‘365 Education’ services violate children’s data protection rights. When pupils wanted to exercise their General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) rights, Microsoft said schools were the “controller” for their data.

“However, the schools have no control over the systems,” said Noyb. Microsoft, alleged the complaint, is trying to contractually dump most of its legal responsibilities under the GDPR on schools that provide Microsoft 365 Education services to their pupils or students.

“This means, for example, that access requests to Microsoft go unanswered – while schools have no realistic way of complying with such requests because they don’t hold the necessary data,” the non-profit mentioned.

Maartje de Graaf, data protection lawyer at noyb, said that this take-it-or-leave-it approach by software vendors such as Microsoft is shifting all GDPR responsibilities to schools. “Microsoft holds all the key information about data processing in its software but is pointing the finger at schools when it comes to exercising rights. Schools have no way of complying with the transparency and information obligations,” de Graaf said.

Microsoft provides such “vague information” that even a qualified lawyer can’t fully understand how the company processes personal data in Microsoft 365 Education. “It is almost impossible for children or their parents to uncover the extent of Microsoft’s data collection,” said de Graaf.

  • Business Success Story: The Inspirational Journey of Ajay Chauhan, Managing Director of Myraa Group; Know his story here | Internet & Social Media News

The recruitment industry is often seen as a lucrative business, but for those who have dedicated their careers to it, it is much more than just a means of making a living. For Ajay Chauhan, the Managing Director of Myraa Group, the industry represents a journey of chance, satisfaction, and a profound desire to make a positive impact on people’s lives.

Ajay Chauhan’s entry into the recruitment industry was not premeditated. At the age of 16, amid financial uncertainty, he became the primary provider for his family. During this challenging period, a chance encounter led him to the recruitment sector. Despite having no prior knowledge of the industry, he discovered a passion for the work and the immense satisfaction it brought him. Driven by a desire to help others, he found joy in providing employment opportunities to those in need, particularly by facilitating overseas placements that could transform lives.

In 1995, Ajay took a leap of faith by dedicating himself to Al Taher Liaison, a recruitment company. It was not an easy journey; he faced significant challenges, including moments when the company was on the brink of closure. Yet, his resilience and vision turned a modest office into a hub for global talent, marking the beginning of a transformative path.

Myraa Group, through its subsidiaries Myraa Consultancy and Al Taher Liaison, has specialized in recruitment solutions for companies across Africa for over four decades. The company has diversified its portfolio to include mining, construction, and contracting services, providing comprehensive solutions to various industries. Ajay’s belief in the unique challenges and opportunities of India’s recruitment landscape fueled his global expansion, especially into Africa’s mining industry and sectors like oil and gas, and power plants in the Middle East.

Ajay advocates for the recruitment industry to be recognised not merely as a means of sending people overseas for financial gain but as a pivotal sector contributing to global workforce development. He emphasizes the importance of training local manpower in countries receiving recruits to combat poverty, a necessity in many regions worldwide. He sees Africa as a land of abundant opportunities for skill training, with supportive government policies, and identifies Europe as a promising market despite the challenges posed by visa regulations.

Despite India’s infrastructure boom, Myraa Group finds it challenging to source the right skills locally. However, the competitive packages offered for work in Africa have been instrumental in attracting skilled workers from India. Committed to upskilling, the group provides globally recognised training courses conducted by industry experts, empowering individuals to bridge the skills gap and compete on an international level.

Looking ahead, Myraa Group envisions significant growth and expansion over the next five years, with ambitious plans to initiate an IPO and achieve a business worth $100 million. By leveraging its expertise, diversifying revenue streams, and capturing emerging opportunities, the group aims to solidify its position as a leading industry player and unlock new avenues for success. Ajay’s ultimate goal is to create a legacy where someone from within his organization can take over and surpass his achievements, ensuring the company’s continued growth and prosperity.

Ajay Chauhan’s journey is a testament to the power of resilience, vision, and the profound impact one can have by seizing opportunities and dedicating oneself to the betterment of others. His story inspires not just those in the recruitment industry, but anyone who believes in the power of hard work, dedication, and the will to make a difference.
