  • The ‘scales of justice’ are bigger than the ‘bulldozer of injustice’: Akhilesh’s statement on SC’s decision, BJP gave this reaction

    Lucknow. The Supreme Court has strongly reprimanded the central government over the bulldozer action. The Supreme Court said that even if a person is proven guilty, his building cannot be demolished. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has targeted the BJP over this. He wrote on X that the ‘scales of justice’ are bigger than the ‘bulldozer of injustice’.

    BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi has also given a statement on this. He said that ‘Bulldozer is not used at the house of a criminal if he is wanted in any crime. Bulldozer is used only within the ambit of law on illegal construction encroachment.’

    Actually, a petition was filed in SC against the bulldozer action. In which it was said that houses are being demolished without notice as a retaliatory action. Hearing this, the apex court gave its verdict. The court has emphasized that they do not support illegal constructions on roads or other public places. But the process of demolishing the property should be according to the law. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the court that no property is demolished just because it is involved in a criminal case or is linked to the accused. He said that this happens only when the structure is illegal. On this, Justice Gavai said that ‘So you are accepting it. Then we will issue guidelines based on this. How can someone’s property be demolished only if he is accused.

After this, today Jashpur Superintendent of Police Shashi Mohan Singh has suspended ASI Rajesh Yadav and constable Ashok Ekka for negligence. At the same time, the head constable and a municipal soldier have been line attached.

    2 Pilgrims were found dead after a landslide struck the new track leading to the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district on Monday, September 2, resulting in the deaths of two pilgrims, according to officials. The Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has initiated rescue and relief operations.

    The landslide occurred around 2:35 PM near Panchi, approximately three kilometres from Bhawan. It also caused damage to a section of an overhead iron structure, as per reports from officials. There are concerns that more pilgrims may still be trapped in the debris.

    Naiduniya Representative, Indore. There is good news for Indore residents. The new railway line between Manmad Indore has been approved. The Union Cabinet approved the 309 km plan. This is a project worth 18036 crores. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the new railway line project with a total cost of Rs 18,036 crore (approximately) under the Ministry of Railways. The proposed new line between Indore and Manmad will provide direct connectivity and improve mobility, leading to better efficiency and service reliability for Indian Railways.

    Two states will benefit from this approval

    The cabinet approved the 309 km long new line project. It will work to provide the shortest rail connectivity between two major commercial centers – Mumbai and Indore. The approved project will connect the commercial centers Mumbai and Indore by the shortest rail route. Apart from this, this railway line will also connect unconnected areas of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. This railway line will pass through 2 districts of Maharashtra and 4 districts of Madhya Pradesh. The total cost of the project is ₹ 18,036 crore and it will be completed by 2028-29. The project will also generate direct employment for about 102 lakh man-days during construction.

    What it means for a project to be approved

    The project is in line with PM Modi’s vision of New India, which will make the people of the region “Aatmanirbhar” through comprehensive development in the region, thereby increasing their employment/self-employment opportunities. The project is an outcome of PM-Gati Shakti National Master Plan for Multi-Modal Connectivity, made possible through integrated planning. It will provide seamless connectivity for movement of people, goods and services. The project covers 6 districts of 2 states i.e. Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, covering 1,000 villages and benefiting a population of about 30 lakhs. The project will boost tourism in the region by providing a shorter route connecting the western/south-western part of the country to central India. It will increase the movement of tourists to various tourist/religious places in Ujjain-Indore region including Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple. The project will also provide direct connectivity to millet producing districts of Madhya Pradesh and onion producing districts of Maharashtra, facilitating its distribution in the northern and southern parts of the country. It is an essential route for transportation of commodities like agricultural products, fertilizers, containers, iron ore, steel, cement, POL etc. The capacity enhancement work will result in additional freight traffic of about 26 MTPA (million tonnes per annum).

    For this, 2200 hectares of land will also need to be acquired. Due to the delay of six years, the estimated cost of this project has increased from Rs 9.5 thousand crores to more than Rs 22 thousand crores. The total length of the Indore-Manmad railway line is 268 km.

    9 tunnels will also be built

    Work is going on in this from 50 km Manmad to Dhule. Now DPR is ready for laying the line from Dhule to Mhow in Indore. MP Shankar Lalwani said that solid progress has been made on Indore-Manmad rail line. With the construction of this track, connectivity between Indore, Mumbai and southern states will be easy. The line is to be laid in 218 km stretch, in which 9 tunnels will be built.

    In a post on X, Khan said, “ED people have just arrived at my house to arrest me.”

    “It’s seven in the morning, and the ED has arrived to arrest me under the guise of a search warrant. My mother-in-law, who is battling cancer, is currently at my home. I have responded to all their notices and have written to them as well. They have been harassing me continuously for the past two years with the sole aim of breaking our party. But we will neither bow down nor break,” Khan said in the clip.

    Khan released a video statement on X, alleging that the ED team intends to arrest him. He stated, “The ED team is using a search as an excuse to arrest me. My mother-in-law, who recently underwent surgery four days ago for cancer, is at my home. I had notified the ED about this situation.”

    Khan is being scrutinized in a money laundering case linked to financial irregularities involving the Delhi Waqf Board.

She had an operation four days ago. She is also at my house. I have written to them (ED) and I have replied to every notice. Their only motive is to arrest me and stop our work. For the last two years, these people have been harassing me, and filing fake cases against me. Every day, they are creating some or the other problem for not only me but my entire party…We are neither going to bow down to them nor are we going to be afraid of them, they will send us to jail. I am hopeful that the way we got justice in the court earlier, this time too we will get justice.” 

    In another video shared by AAP MP Sanjay Singh on his ‘X’ post, Amanatullah can be seen indulged in a argument with ED officials. He argues that his mother-in-law has cancer, she has undergone an operation.

    Sanjay Singh attacked the Modi-led central government and wrote, “There is no evidence against @KhanAmanatullah but both Modi’s dictatorship and ED’s hooliganism continue.”
