  • Devotees will be able to see in the courtyard of Mahakal, how the temple was 1000 years ago… the antiquities found from the ground are being given shape

Rajesh Verma, Naiduniya, Ujjain (Ujjain News). The remains of the temple excavated from the underground in the courtyard of Mahakal are being given the shape of a Shiva temple under the supervision of archeological scholars. Devotees will once again be able to see how this Shiva temple looked 1000 years ago. The Mahakal Temple Committee says that this temple will be made 36 feet high. It may take six months to rebuild it.

About two years ago, the base of the Shiva temple was found during the excavation being done for reconstruction here. Along with this, the ruined remains of the temple and ancient idols like Shivlinga were also found. The temple committee had informed the Madhya Pradesh Archaeological Department about the discovery of the ancient wealth. After this, a team of archeological experts from Bhopal reached Ujjain and investigated the archaeological remains.

The temple was damaged by the invaders

During investigation it was found that the Shiv temple is about a thousand years old, at that time it was damaged by invaders. The department decided to rebuild the temple at the same place to preserve the ancient architecture.

About six months ago, the scattered remains were matched and numbered for reconstruction. Now the stones are being joined according to the numbers. Archaeological officer Dr. Ramesh Yadav said that the work of joining the remains of the temple excavated from the underground has begun. If there is a shortage of any stone, then similar stones are being ordered from other districts of the state. It is taking time to arrange the material, the pace of work is also slow due to the rainy season.

In this way, the Bateshwar temple group was built from the ancient ruins

According to the Archaeological Department, a group of 200 temples was built during the reign of the Gurjar-Pratihara dynasty between the 8th and 10th centuries, located 25 kilometers from Morena district headquarters, this place is identified as Bateshwar Temple Group.

According to the Archaeological Department, these temples were destroyed in the 13th century due to some disaster like earthquake or flood. Its ancient remains were present. Bateshwar was included in the list of protected sites in 1920, but its conservation work was started in the year 2005 by the then Superintendent of the Archaeological Department KK Mohammad and 60 temples were built in their old form by picking up the stones lying in ruins.

Due to lack of budget, the renovation work stopped about 14 years ago. Two and a half years ago, Sudha Murthy of Infosys Foundation provided financial help, due to which the biggest temple of Bateshwar, Vishnu Math Mandir, has been built again in its old form.

  • After J&K, BJP Now Faces Rebellion In Haryana After Announcing First List Of 67 Candidates |

CHANDIGARH: After being denied tickets for the October 5 Assembly elections in Haryana, scores of BJP functionaries, including a sitting minister, a legislator, former ministers, and party leaders, announced their resignation on Thursday, a day after the state’s ruling party announced its first list of 67 candidates. Power Minister Ranjit Chautala, who contested the 2019 Assembly elections as an Independent but was later inducted into the Cabinet, announced his decision to resign as Minister as well as from the primary membership of the BJP after meeting his supporters in Rania on Thursday.

Addressing his supporters, Ranjit Chautala said that being the son of former Deputy Prime Minister Devi Lal, he cannot compromise in any situation. “I will contest the elections as an Independent nominee from Rania. The BJP offered me a ticket from Dabwali, but I turned down the proposal. I am resigning from the Cabinet and the primary membership of the party,” he said.

In the 2019 elections, Ranjit Chautala contested as an Independent candidate after the Congress denied him a ticket. In the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections held earlier this year, he joined the BJP after resigning as an MLA. He contested the Lok Sabha polls from Hisar but lost to Congress’ Jai Parkash.

In Ratia, the party has given ticket to former Sirsa MP Sunita Duggal. In the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, Duggal was denied re-nomination from Sirsa where former Haryana Congress chief Ashok Tanwar was fielded by the BJP. Tanwar, however, lost to Congress veteran Kumari Selja. Joining a league of rebels, sitting BJP legislator from Ratia (SC) Lakshman Dass Napa quit from all positions in the party after being denied a ticket. Speculation is rife that he will join the Congress after meeting former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

The BJP on Wednesday released its first list of 67 candidates, fielding Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini from Ladwa in Kurukshetra district. Saini, who replaced Manohar Lal Khattar as the Chief Minister in March this year, is currently the MLA from Karnal. BJP’s key OBC leader Karan Dev Kamboj, who was denied a ticket from Indri, also resigned from all party posts on Thursday.

“Me and my family have been part of the BJP since the time of Jan Sangh. I have worked with a lot of dedication, but now the party has adopted Congress’ culture,” Kamboj told the media. Without mincing words, he said the Congress would form the next government while “BJP’s dream will just remain a dream”.

Upset over denial of nomination from Sonipat, former minister Kavita Jain was in tears at a meeting with her supporters, giving the party high command an ultimatum to change its candidate Nikhil Madan within three days. Jain also claimed that she was cheated after senior party leaders assured her of a ticket.

In Safidon in Jind district, former MLA Bachan Singh Arya resigned after JJP rebel Ram Kumar Gautam was fielded from the seat. Arya will now contest as an Independent. Gautam had joined the BJP earlier this week. Interestingly, Sunil Sangwan, the prison officer who granted parole to rape convict Ram Rahim six times before resigning from his position, has been given a BJP ticket, raising questions about the party’s stance on women’s safety.

Meanwhile, supporters of former minister Savitri Jindal, mother of Kurukshetra BJP MP Naveen Jindal, met her at her residence in Hisar on Thursday and urged her to contest as an Independent after the BJP retained Health Minister Kamal Gupta as its candidate. Savitri Jindal and her son Naveen Jindal had joined the BJP in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections. She was seeking a BJP ticket from Hisar.

  • ‘Akhilesh sees only one caste’, OP Rajbhar taunts SP supremo in Mangesh Yadav encounter case

Lucknow. Political rhetoric has started on the encounter of Mangesh Yadav. SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav has attacked the government calling it a fake encounter. He said, life was taken on the basis of caste. On which Yogi government minister OP Rajbhar has retaliated to Akhilesh Yadav’s statement.

Read this too- ‘You are Verma, so am I’… then he satisfied his lust by having relations with 10 female constables, looted crores of rupees, this is how the ‘fake policeman’ got caught by the police…

OP Rajbhar retorted to Akhilesh Yadav’s statement on the slain criminal Mangesh Yadav and said, will we shower flowers if there is firing on the police. Will the police shower flowers in self-defense? The police will have to fire in self-defense. If the bullet is fired, the person firing will be killed. Akhilesh sees only one caste. We see 6743 castes. We work for Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas.

Read this too- There was no respect for age… 70-year-old man’s intentions got spoiled after seeing a girl, then with her…

    What did Akhilesh Yadav say?

Akhilesh Yadav posted on X and said, “It seems that the ruling party had deep connections with the people involved in the Sultanpur robbery, that is why before the fake encounter, the ‘main accused’ was contacted and made to surrender and other party members were shot only on their feet and killed on the basis of their ‘caste’.”

The SP chief further said, “When the main accused has surrendered, all the looted goods should be returned and the government should give compensation separately because the mental trauma caused by such incidents takes a lot of time to recover from, which leads to loss of business, which should be compensated by the government.”

The Kannauj MP said, “Fake encounters turn protectors into predators. The solution is not fake encounters, but real law and order. BJP rule is the Amritkaal of criminals. Till the public pressure and anger does not reach its peak, the work of sharing in the loot continues and when it seems that the public will surround them, then fake encounters are done as a superficial balm. The public understands how some people are saved and how others are trapped. Highly condemnable!”

  • In Maharashtra, Rahul Gandhi Explains Why PM Modi Apologised Over Shivaji Statue Collapse |

Rahul Gandhi In Maharashtra: Rahul Gandhi, who was in Maharashtra, on Thursday took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the collapse of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s statue in the poll-bound state. While addressing a gathering, Gandhi cited a few reasons behind PM Modi’s apology, saying that an apology is sought by a person who makes a mistake. He said that PM Modi might have felt that instead of giving the contract to build the statue on merit, he gave it to a person associated with the RSS.

The Lok Sabha LoP further stated that the PM could have felt that the person to whom he awarded the contract did corruption in the construction of the statue and cheated the people of Maharashtra. The PM should apologise not just to Shivaji Maharaj but also to every person of Maharashtra, he said.

“This is a truth; an apology is sought by a person who makes a mistake. The person who has not made a mistake, what should that person apologise for? A few days ago here a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was built, and I read in a newspaper that the Prime Minister said that I apologise to Shivaji Maharaj. Now I want to understand why the Prime Minister sought an apology. There can be several reasons for that.

“The first could be that the contract to build the statue was given to someone associated with the RSS. May be the PM is saying that he made a mistake; he should not have given the contract to a RSS person and should have given it on merit. The second mistake could be that there was corruption during the development of the statue; may be the Prime Minister was apologising thinking that the person to whom he gave the contract did corruption and cheated the people of Maharashtra. The third reason could be that PM got the statue erected in the honour of Shivaji Maharaj and failed to ensure that it remains intact,” Rahul Gandhi said.

“I give you a guarantee that Kadam ji’s (late Congress minister Patangrao Kadam) statue installed will be here even after 50-70 years… Shivaji Maharaj’s statue was installed, but only a few days later the statue fell. This is an insult to Shivaji Maharaj. The PM should apologise not just to Shivaji Maharaj but also to every person of Maharashtra,” he further stated.

PM Modi had unveiled the statue in December last year during the Navy Day celebrations in Sindhudurg district. The statue collapse took place on August 26.

Days after the incident, PM Modi apologised to Chhattrapati Shivaji Maharaj and those hurt by the statue collapse. “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is not just a name or a king. For us, He is our deity. Today, I bow my head at his feet and apologise to my deity,” Modi said.
