    Professor V.B. Gupta was the Head of the Department at the School of Data Science at Devi Ahilya University. This marks the first swine flu-related death in Indore this year, raising concerns about the city’s healthcare situation.

    According to hospital sources, doctors had provided him with the best possible care, and he was due to be discharged today, but his condition suddenly worsened, leading to his death.

This is the first death due to swine flu this year. He was undergoing treatment in a private hospital for about seven days. His wife and daughter were also infected with him, who were discharged two days ago.

    He is currently in isolation. Let us tell you that he was ill ever since he met a professor from Mexico at the two-day International Conference on Business Intelligence, Computational Mathematics and Data Analytics held at the university on 23-24 August.

    It is feared that the swine flu virus spread from the professor who came from Mexico, because he was with them for the entire time for about three days. Doctors said that apart from swine flu, the patient also had other diseases including sleep apnea and hypertension. He was undergoing treatment under the supervision of doctors in the hospital.

    He was on ventilator for three days

    Family members said that on Saturday Dr. Gupta had high fever along with cold and cough. Due to this he was admitted to Suyash Hospital. He was found swine flu positive in the test. Due to deteriorating health, he was kept on ventilator for the last three days. He lived with his wife and two daughters.

    A total of 13 patients were found in Indore this year

    We have not received any information from the hospital yet. A total of 13 positive cases have been found in Indore since January and three patients are active, who are undergoing treatment. According to experts, if anyone has complaints like cold and high fever, they should immediately seek treatment. Swine flu is also known as H1N1 influenza virus.   • CM Himanta Sarma Announces New Requirement For Aadhaar Card Applicants In Assam |

    Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Saturday that all new Aadhaar card applicants in the state must provide their National Register of Citizens (NRC) application receipt number.

    According to PTI, he said that submission of the application receipt number of the NRC will prevent the “influx of illegal foreigners,” and the state government will be “very strict” in issuing Aadhaar cards.

    ”Applications for Aadhaar cards are more than the population…It indicates that there are doubtful citizens and we have decided that new applicants will have to submit their NRC application receipt number (ARN),”  Assam CM said, PTI reported. 

    While addressing the press conference today, Sarma also said that it will not be easy to get Aadhaar in Assam.

    The submission of the ARN will not apply to the 9.55 lakh people whose biometrics were locked during the NRC process, and they will get their cards, Sarma said, PTI reported. 

    He further added that it will not be applicable in the tea garden areas as many have not got their Aadhaar cards due to some practical difficulties like the non-availability of adequate biometric machines.

    He also pointed out four districts with more applications for Aadhaar cards than their total projected population. The districts named Barpeta with 103.74 per cent, Dhubri with 103 per cent, and both Morigaon and Nagaon with 101 per cent.

    ”In Assam, we have decided that Aadhaar cards will be issued to new applicants only after a no objection certificate is given by the district commissioner concerned. Such certificates will be issused after minutely examining all aspects. If the applicant has the NRC ARN, it becomes clear that he was in the state before 2014,” Sarma said, PTI reported.

    The Jharkhand Cabinet today approved a medical insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh for more than 30,000 lawyers of the state. In a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday, the cabinet also approved a proposal to give a pension of Rs 14,000 every month to lawyers aged 65 years and above. Apart from this, the cabinet also approved a proposal to give a support amount of Rs 5,000 every month to new advocates. Advocate General Rajiv Ranjan, who played an important role in getting the welfare schemes approved by the state government, said that Chief Minister Hemant Soren has fulfilled the promise made to him in an interactive meeting with the lawyers last year. Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister, he said that Jharkhand is the first state in the country to make such a rule for the welfare of lawyers. This is a message for the whole country.     Shillong Teer Result 2024: Check Steps To Participate

    Shillong Teer is a lottery game in which tickets ranging from Rs 1 to Rs 100 can be purchased. Sales start at 10 a.m., Monday to Sunday. Players must guess the number of arrows shot by 50 archers in the first and second rounds at Shillong’s Polo Ground in two minutes, with a maximum of 30 and 20 arrows respectively.     Naiduniya Representative, Shahdol: When the e-KYC of the beneficiaries of social security pension available in 12 categories in the district was updated, the pension of thousands of people was stopped. After this, an order has been issued to put an end to the complaints of not getting pension. Now, after KYC is updated, if the beneficiary is eligible, then pension will be given along with arrears. That is, the pension will be paid at once for the number of months for which it has been stopped.

    Pension stopped due to difference in age

    87 thousand 634 people are getting pension in the district, which includes people of all categories including old, handicapped, widow, husband abandoner. Out of these, pension of 2255 people has been stopped. After linking Aadhaar with Samagra and updating e-KYC, the pension of many people has been stopped due to difference in age, while there are many people who are not eligible and were taking pension.

    E-KYC is being done continuously

    Deputy Director of Social Justice Department, Pragya Maravi said that the pension of any eligible beneficiary has not been stopped, but the government has instructed that the KYC of every beneficiary has to be updated. Pension is being stopped if KYC is not updated. We are continuously getting e-KYC done. Now only those will get pension whose e-KYC is updated.

    Ineligible people were also taking pension

    Maravi said that in KYC many such people are being caught whose age is less than 60 years and they are taking pension. Similarly there are many people who are not eligible and were taking benefits by giving wrong information. This initiative is being taken to put a stop to this. Instructions have been received from the government to pay the pension amount along with arrears to those who are eligible.

    Taking benefit of more than one plan

    Deputy Director Marawi said that the government has made a portal for all types of social security pension and eKYC is being updated on this portal. In this, those people are also being caught who are taking benefit of more than one scheme, whereas the government has set a guideline for getting the benefit of the schemes.

    Work is being done on the same guidelines, due to which the pension of some people has been stopped. Everyone is being verified and if they are eligible, they will start getting pension. Around six crore rupees of social security pension is being paid every year in the district.
