  • Prayagraj Coaching News: Threatened, Rs 1 Cr Extortion Demanded From New Institute, Claims Owner |

Uttar Pradesh Crime News: In an incident that exposes the prevalent ‘gundaraj’ and ‘extortion gang’ in Uttar Pradesh despite CM Yogi Adityanath’s strict law and order claims, a coaching centre founder found himself in a precarious situation when a gang of 20-30 criminals stormed his newly opened institute and demanded Rs one crore extortion, claimed the owner. The owner shared the CCTV footage on social media and explained that the criminals had earlier demanded Rs 50 lakhs but the threat was ignored. However, days later, the gang entered the institute and demanded Rs 1 crore, warning to set the institute afire.

“On 4th September at 7 p.m. in my absence, 10-12 people came to the Prayagraj Institute and while abusing and threatening the staff, told them to tell their boss that if they want to run a coaching institute in Prayagraj, they should give 50 lakh rupees in a week or else they will burn down the coaching institute. The staff informed me, but I did not take it seriously and thought who would dare to do such a thing in today’s times. Someone may have come to ask for donations and may be trying to scare people. That is why I did not inform the police and I made a mistake,” said coaching owner Vivek Kumar.

Kumar further claimed that on 10th September, around 20 people entered the institute and started abusing the staff. “Within a few minutes of sitting, he started abusing the staff and said you are coming from outside and behaving like goons, I had told you to deliver Rs 50 lakhs in a week, now give Rs 1 crore rupees right now or else I will burn down the coaching centre right now…This was very horrifying, despite such strict law and order, these people kept us hostage for 40 minutes and kept scaring us by continuously threatening to kill us,” he claimed.

The coaching centre owner alleged that the goons even misbehaved with the police. He said that an FIR has been registered in the case. “I had come to Prayagraj from Delhi on the assurance of better security from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath….I will not pay a single penny as extortion.
If the chief minister says so, even if I have to take a loan or sell myself, I will give him Rs 1 crore for my and the institute’s safety, but I will not give a single penny to the goons,” said Kumar.

  • SP will also be responsible for violence or death in police custody, constable will monitor the prisoner 24 hours

Instructions to ensure safety of prisoners in police custody.

    Highlights

SP will also be held responsible for violence in police custody ASI and CCTV will be used for 24 hour surveillance Sick or injured prisoners will be sent to hospital

State Bureau, Naiduniya, Bhopal: The Superintendent of Police of the respective districts will also be held responsible for the violence that takes place in police custody in the state. Also, an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) level policeman will be put on 24-hour duty to view the footage of CCTV cameras installed to monitor prisoners in the lock-up.

ADG (CID) Pawan Srivastava of Police Headquarters has also given these instructions to the Zonal Inspector Generals and Superintendents of Police. A constable or head constable will be put on duty for the security of the prisoner all the time.

    Violence in police custody

Let us tell you that the Human Rights Commission has also been making recommendations from time to time regarding violence and death in police custody. On this basis, the arrangements have been improved earlier as well, but now the monitoring will be strengthened further.

Under Section 37 of the Indian Civil Security Code (BNSS), effective from July 1, Superintendents of Police of all districts have been directed to nominate an Assistant Sub-Inspector or an officer above his rank as the designated officer for the security of prisoners in police custody.

The CCTV cameras monitoring the lockup should cover the entire cell. From the CSP and SDOP to the Superintendent of Police level, officers have been asked to visit police stations regularly to ensure the safety of prisoners.

Sufficient force for police station lockups

The instructions say that adequate force should be provided for the lock-ups of police stations. If a police station does not have enough force, the prisoner should not be kept in the lock-up there. Instead, he should be kept in another nearby police station. Sick, intoxicated and injured persons should be immediately sent to the hospital instead of being kept in the police station lock-up.

  • Interview: Samajwadi leader Raghu Thakur talked about state elections, Naxal policy, caste census, ideology, said- A joint government can be formed in Jammu and Kashmir between those demanding the removal and return of Article 370

Vaibhav Bemetariha, Raipur. Renowned socialist leader and patron of the Democratic Samajwadi Party Raghu Thakur, who arrived on a visit to Chhattisgarh, spoke openly on many issues in an interview with Lalluram.com. He said a lot on the elections of two states to be held in the coming months, the Naxal policy of the Chhattisgarh government, caste census and political ideology.

Mismatched government possible in Jammu and Kashmir

Raghu Thakur said that this time the elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be very interesting. The way the situation is looking, it seems that a mismatched government will be formed. The kind of coalition government in the country, its effect is visible in the current elections. Anyway, BJP has once again sent Ram Madhav to Jammu and Kashmir. From this, it can be understood what is the strategy of BJP. Ram Madhav was called back after the removal of Article 370, now he has been sent again before the elections. It is visible that there may be an alliance after the elections between the parties demanding the removal of Article 370 and the reinstatement of this article in Jammu and Kashmir.

Pawar’s role is important in Maharashtra

Regarding Maharashtra elections, it is said that BJP’s position is not strong in Maharashtra. The Congress alliance is also confused on the CM face. In such a situation, Pawar will be in the strongest role here. It is not easy to understand Sharad Pawar’s politics. Actually, Uddhav Thackeray wants that he should be declared the CM candidate first. But Congress is not ready for this. In such a situation, it is completely unclear what will be Pawar’s stance during or after the elections. BJP will wait till the elections. It is possible that the alliance may look different after the elections.

    caste census

I have been in favour of caste census from the beginning. This issue is not new. Right now there is a lot of politics happening on this issue. Rahul Gandhi is also giving a lot of attention on this, but he remained silent during the Manmohan government. Rahul Gandhi should have spoken even then. Because in 2011, caste census was done right after the census, but the Congress government did not make it public. At present, this is an agenda to gain electoral benefits, but whatever caste census is done, it should be done. It is good that now the Sangh has understood this. Because there was a lot of uproar about this within the Sangh as well.

    Vishnudev Sai and Naxal policy

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai is a good person. He is a gentleman and straightforward. But he will have to prove himself in the current politics and system. Because the circle of the system and political pressure makes people do something else. There is a need to avoid this.

As far as the state’s Naxal policy is concerned, it has to be understood that governments kept changing, policies kept changing, but honest work was not done on the Naxal front. Talking about the statements and campaigns of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, I would call him a leader who makes announcements or fixes targets. Shah ji goes somewhere and fixes targets. But this will not work. Because now there is no such thing as ideology in Naxalism. Criminality dominates in Naxalism. International drug mafias have entered Naxalism. The illegal drug business is happening among the Maoists. In such a situation, it cannot be ended by fixing any target. The fight will be long. It will have to be curbed at the international level. Not only this, corruption in government schemes comes to the fore in the name of Naxalism, the government’s focus on this is necessary. I believe that the solution to Naxalism is possible only through an egalitarian society among the tribals.

    Politics of socialism

There is a lack of ideology in the country’s politics now. The truth is that there is neither nationalism in the BJP nor Gandhism in the Congress. There is no socialism even in the Samajwadi Party. If there is anything, it is only power everywhere. The lure of power has destroyed the politics of ideology. But our fight continues. We are completely in favour of socialism. An egalitarian society is our aim.

    Highlights

The facility has been started in some districts through an NGO. There are also plans to sign a contract with AIIMS regarding this. The government is running a sickle cell anemia eradication program.

State Bureau, Naiduniya, Bhopal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target to free the country from sickle cell anemia by the year 2047. In this direction, testing and treatment facilities are being increased in the state. To prevent the birth of a child suffering from sickle cell anemia, blood tests will be done in the womb itself. The National Health Mission has sought proposals from medical colleges for this. So far, government medical colleges of Indore, Jabalpur and Rewa have given proposals.

National Health Mission (NHM) is also preparing to sign a contract with AIIMS Bhopal for this. In this test, the baby’s blood sample is taken out in the first three months of pregnancy and tested. After the test, if the baby is found to be affected by a disease, then abortion will be done. Currently, with the help of an NGO, this facility has been started in some cases in some districts.

This disease is mainly found in tribals across the country including Madhya Pradesh. In this, the shape of the red blood cells that make up the blood changes, due to which the patient’s body does not produce blood and it becomes deficient. Due to lack of blood, he starts getting surrounded by other diseases as well. To eradicate this, marriages between the victims or carriers are being stopped in the state. Genetic cards have been made for this. Genetic counseling is also being done.

By matching the genetic cards of the boy and the girl, it becomes clear whether marriage is appropriate or not. In the year 2018, the identification of the disease was started by testing the blood of normal people in two districts of the state. So far, 63 lakh people have been tested, in which 21 thousand patients and one lakh 34 thousand carriers have been found. Due to the leading role of the state, the Prime Minister started the eradication of this disease from Madhya Pradesh.
