    Arvind Kejriwal News: Hours after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced his decision to resign from the top post, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi Singh revealed the reason behind the AAP supremo seeking two days time to step down.

    On being asked why Kejriwal needs two days time to resign, Delhi Minister Atishi said, “Today is Sunday, tomorrow is a holiday for Eid-e-Milad, so the next working day is Tuesday. That’s why two days time.” On Sunday, the Delhi Chief Minister addressed party workers and announced that he is set to resign from the CM position after two days.

    This comes two days after the Supreme Court granted bail to Arvind Kejriwal in the money laundering cases pertaining to the now scrapped excise policy in the national capital. 

    The AAP national convenor further stated that he would take the chief minister’s position again if the people chose him in the upcoming election. “I would not sit on the CM chair until the people give their verdict… I will go to every house and street and not sit on the CM chair till I get a verdict from the people,” he said.

    The AAP chief demanded that elections be held in November, along with the with the Maharashtra election, and added that until then, someone else from the party will be the Chief Minister.

  • National Lok Adalat: Compensation of Rs 1 crore 35 lakh to the family of the deceased in the accident

    National Lok Adalat was held in Indore on Saturday 14th September.

    Lok Adalat was also organized in the Indore bench of the High Court. During this period, a total of 711 cases were kept in two benches. 280 cases were resolved, the total compensation was Rs 2.98 crore.

After the death of a person named Ajay in a vehicle accident in March 2021, a compensation of one crore 35 lakh rupees was given to the dependent relatives in the Lok Adalat on Saturday. In the court, the judge and the officials of the insurance company handed over the cheque of the claim amount to the deceased’s wife, two daughters and mother.

    Lok Adalat was also organized in the Indore Bench of the High Court. A total of 711 cases were placed in two benches. 280 cases were resolved. The total compensation amount passed was more than two crore 98 lakhs.

    The couple had reached the court to get separated, then came out holding hands

    They were admitted in the family court due to mutual dispute and had written in the court that it is not possible to live together now. When they came out of the court room on Saturday, they were holding each other’s hands and decided to settle down again. On Saturday, 44 such couples were reunited in the family court and resolved to move forward with their family life.

    Under the National Lok Adalat organised on Saturday, four benches were formed in the Family Court and the cases were heard. A total of 460 cases were put up for hearing. Out of these, 155 cases were settled on the basis of compromise. 44 couples agreed to live together again with mutual consent.

    First Additional Chief Justice Sangeeta Madan, Second Additional Chief Justice SC Shrivastava, Third Additional Chief Justice Maya Vishwalal and Additional Chief Justice Rakesh Kumar Jain inaugurated the Lok Adalat by lighting the lamp. Advocate Jitendra Singh Thakur, Pranay Sharma, Preeti Mehna, Vijay Rathore, Prashant Gilore and other advocates supported the Lok Adalat.

    After receiving bail from the Supreme Court, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal addressed a press conference from his party office on Sunday. CM Arvind Kejriwal announced he is going to resign from the CM position after two days. 

    Kejriwal added that he would take a chief minister post gain when people chose him in the coming election. “I would not sit on the CM chair until the people give their verdict… I will go to every house and street and not sit on the CM chair till I get a verdict from the people,” he said.

    He also criticszed the BJP and asserted that their schemes could not break AAP rock-solid determination.

    Responding to BJP’s demand for his resignation from jail, the AAP supremo said that he didn’t resign from jail because he wanted to protect the Constitution of India. 

    He said, “I did not resign from the jail because I wanted to protect the Constitution of India. I wanted to fail their formula… The SC asked the central government why a government cannot run from the jail… The SC proved that a government can run from jail…”

    The gangster who had spread terror by shooting Neeraj Rana in the chest is still absconding, police is searching for him. Two accused were nabbed near Chambal Dhaba.

    Naiduniya representative, Gwalior: Police has arrested Sanjay Jat and Anoop Jat, henchmen of gangster Vikram Rana, who spread terror by shooting Neeraj Rana in the chest 24 days ago near Lal Tipra Gaushala in Murar area. Both of them were passing near Chambal Dhaba on the highway when the police caught them. Vikram is still absconding. Police took out a procession of these people at the place where they spread terror by firing bullets.

    There is a rivalry between Neeraj Rana, resident of Bhind and Anoop Jat, resident of village Badera. On August 21, Anoop threatened Neeraj over the phone, then called him to meet. When Neeraj reached near Laltipara Gaushala with his two friends, Vikram Rana came first in a car. He threatened Neeraj, by then his henchmen Anoop Jat, Sanjay Rana and Gajendra alias Gantra Kori arrived.

    As soon as they arrived, they started firing. One bullet hit Neeraj in the chest. The accused were absconding since the incident. In-charge SP Rakesh Kumar Sagar had announced a reward on the accused. The SP deputed Murar police station in-charge Madan Mohan Malviya, crime branch in-charge Ajay Pawar, SI Rajiv Solanki and his team to search for the accused. After 24 days, their location was found near Chambal Dhaba. Sanjay and Anoop were arrested by laying siege here. Then the police took them to the crime scene on foot.

    The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday arrested former RG Kar Medical College Principal Sandip Ghosh in connection with the rape-murder case of a trainee doctor.

    Dr Aqeeb, who was part of the delegation that went to meet CM Mamata Banerjee, said that we had requested a live streaming of the meeting but they didn’t agree to it.

    Onion export duty reduced by 20%, benefit to farmers of Madhya Pradesh, basic duty on oilseed oils increased

    State Bureau, Naiduniya, Bhopal: In the interest of farmers, the central government has reduced the export duty on onion from 40 percent to 20 percent. The farmers of the country and the state will get direct benefit of this decision of the government. Due to increased irrigation capacity in Madhya Pradesh, onion is produced on a large scale. By reducing the export duty, farmers will get increased price for their produce.

    On Saturday, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan for this decision and said that this decision is in the interest of farmers. The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude for another decision taken by Prime Minister Modi in the interest of farmers and said that the increase in basic duty on oilseeds and edible oils by the Central Government will increase the demand for all types of oil.

    He said that the basic duty on oil of mustard, sunflower, groundnut, soybean etc. has been increased to 32 percent. The support price for procurement of soybean has been fixed at Rs 4,892, which will also benefit the farmers.

    Meeting of contractors and corporation commissioner

    In the morning, in the Drishti Sabhakaksha of the Municipal Corporation, Corporation Commissioner Amit Kumar held a meeting with the contractors under the banner of the Contractor Association. The Corporation Commissioner had called the meeting to know the problems and suggestions of the contractors. In the meeting, the Corporation Commissioner told the contractors in clear words that there should be no decrease in quality in the work of extremely below rate and if any deficiency is found, then blacklisting action will be taken against the concerned contractor, contractors should be ready for this. No compromise of any kind will be tolerated in the quality of work.

    Earlier in the meeting, the contractors told about the problems related to delay in billing, interference in work by non-technical persons and delay in funds, after which the Corporation Commissioner assured the contractors to make a timeline for billing and to solve the funding problem soon. Apart from this, the contractors also demanded to deposit the royalty fee in the Smart City office itself and simplify the complex documents, on which the Corporation Commissioner has assured to analyze it. In today’s meeting, Contractor Association President Abhishek Singh, Secretary Purushottam Rajput Rajkumar Tiwari, Kamal Singh, Jitendra Soni, Narendra Chitrakar, Vivek Tamrakar, Nawaz, Shiva Gendle, Anand Budholia, Ashok Tiwari and other contractors were present.
