He claimed that the Prime Minister’s silence on the matter serves as a “seal of approval” for this significant conspiracy.

    The incident took place under the Mufassil Police Station area in Krishnanagar in Bihar’s Nawada.

    “Burning down an entire colony of Mahadalits in Nawada and destroying the houses of more than 80 families is highlighting the horrifying picture of injustice against the Bahujans in Bihar. The cries of the Dalit families who had lost their homes and property and the terror created in the deprived society by the echo of the fierce firing were also not successful in waking up the sleeping government of Bihar,” Rahul Gandhi wrote in a post on X.

    Rahul criticised the NDA government, accusing it of harbouring anarchists who intimidate the Bahujans. 

    “The Bihar Government and the State Police must take immediate and strict action against all the culprits of this shameful crime and provide complete justice to the victim families by rehabilitating them,” the Congress leader wrote on X.

    CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the sanitation workers in the state will be paid according to the rating given to their city by the central government. All the sanitation workers of the city whose rating is one will get one thousand rupees, those with two ratings will get two thousand rupees. Ujjain has got three ratings, so the sanitation workers here will be given 3 thousand rupees.

    10th President to visit Ujjain

    Draupadi Murmu is the 10th President of the country to visit here.   • One Nation One Election proposal approved, will be presented in the winter session of Parliament

At the same time, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said on the cabinet meeting that the Union Cabinet has accepted the report of the Kovind panel on one nation, one election. This will reduce the burden of expenditure in elections. The Union Minister said that Venus Orbiter Mission, extension of Gaganyaan and Chandrayaan-4 mission have also been approved in the cabinet meeting. Earlier, on the completion of 100 days of the third term of the Modi government, Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing a press conference, had said that one nation, one election will be implemented in the country before the completion of this term. Let us tell you that earlier this year, a high level panel headed by former President Ram Nath Kovind had also recommended the preparation of a common voter list and voter ID card by the Election Commission of India (ECI) in consultation with the state election officials. Currently, the ECI is responsible for the Lok Sabha and assembly elections, while the local body elections for municipalities and panchayats are managed by the State Election Commissions. It had recommended holding simultaneous elections for both the state assemblies. For this, the panel also suggested 18 constitutional amendments, most of which do not require approval of the state assembly but will need Parliament’s approval in the form of a Constitutional Amendment Bill.

    Got support from 32 political parties

    The committee headed by former President Ram Nath Kovind had contacted 62 parties on this issue. Out of these, 47 political parties had given their opinion, while 15 parties did not give any response. Out of the 47 parties that responded, 32 supported the idea of ​​holding simultaneous elections, while 15 parties opposed it.

    Benefits of One Nation One Election

    Holding simultaneous elections across the country will save crores of rupees. Also, the Election Commission will be relieved from holding elections again and again. By holding simultaneous elections, the focus will not be on elections but on development. Also, there will be no need to impose code of conduct again and again. This will also help in curbing black money.

  • Govt Approves Rs 24,475 Crore Subsidy On P&K Fertilisers For 2024-25 Rabi Season |

    New Delhi: The government on Wednesday approved Rs 24,474.53 crore subsidy on phosphatic and potassic (P&K) fertilisers for the rabi season of 2024-25 to ensure supply of crop nutrients to farmers at affordable rates.

    The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved the Nutrient Based Subsidy (NBS) rates for rabi season 2024 (from October 2024 to March 2025) on P&K fertilizers.

    “The tentative budgetary requirement for rabi season 2024 would be approximately Rs 24,475.53 crore,” an official statement said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a post on X stated: “This step will also reduce the cost of cultivation for farmers”.

    “To ensure continuous supply of fertilizers to our farmer brothers and sisters at affordable rates, we have approved the rates of nutrient-based subsidy for the Rabi season of 2024,” Modi said.

    Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers Jagat Prakash Nadda in a post on X said that this important decision will ensure the availability of fertilizers to farmers at subsidized and reasonable prices, besides providing incentive for increasing Rabi crop production.

    The government is making available 28 grades of P&K fertilizers to farmers at subsidized prices through fertilizer manufacturers/importers. The subsidy on P&K fertilizers is governed by the NBS scheme with effect from April 1, 2010.

    “In view of the recent trends in the international prices of fertilizers & inputs i.E. Urea, DAP, MOP and sulphur, government has decided to approve the NBS rates for Rabi 2024 on P&K fertilizers,” the statement said.

    The subsidy would be provided to the fertilizer companies as per approved and notified rates of N (nitrogen), P (phosphorus) and K (potash) so that fertilizers are made available to farmers at affordable prices, it added.
