  • Doctors in MP are not losing the allure of private practice, now the government will give 20 percent additional incentive amount.

The government is going to give incentive allowance to doctors in Madhya Pradesh.

    HighLights

Now help will be available in filling faculty posts in new colleges. Difficulty in filling the posts of Associate Professor and Professor. Doctors in community centers are getting additional allowance.

State Bureau, Naiduniya.Bhopal. The state government has announced the opening of 14 new government medical colleges in the coming years. Five of them are preparing to start the admission process next year itself. The biggest challenge in starting a college is to fill the senior faculty positions here.

For this, the government is preparing to give additional incentive allowance of up to 20 percent to the faculty of medical colleges of small and backward districts. The Directorate of Medical Education will soon prepare its proposal and send it to the government.

    Why are these situations happening?

Due to shortage of faculty in Seoni, Neemuch and Mandsaur Medical Colleges, which were started this year, only 100 MBBS seats were allowed from the Union Health Ministry, whereas the Directorate of Medical Education had applied for 150 seats each. The biggest problem is in filling the posts of Associate Professor and Professor.

Proved from Neemuch, Seoni, Mandsaur Medical Colleges

The government is already giving additional allowance to doctors of primary and community health centers in remote areas. Actually, due to the attraction of private practice, big doctors do not want to go to small districts. This has been proved in Neemuch, Seoni and Mandsaur Medical Colleges. For this reason, the government is preparing to make a policy out of compulsion.

    Can’t find faculty

In new colleges, in the first year, faculty is required only in non-medical subjects Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry. But in the coming years, faculty is not available in medical subjects like medicine, surgery etc. After making a detailed outline regarding the incentive amount, it will be decided which districts will be kept in the backward category. How much benefit will the faculty working here get?
