  • Delhi CM Atishi’s Residence Vacated, Belongings Removed; AAP Slams BJP |

The PWD has sealed the Delhi Chief Minister Atishi’s residence located at 6 Flagstaff Road. The department has put a double lock on its gate. This government residence was vacated after Arvind Kejriwal resigned from the post of Chief Minister. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) alleged that despite protocol, the bungalow has not been allocated to the current Chief Minister of Delhi, Atishi.

The party claimed that undue pressure from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was causing the delay in handing over the property, despite Kejriwal having vacated the premises. Atishi, who assumed the role of Chief Minister after Kejriwal’s resignation, moved her belongings into a Civil Lines bungalow in North Delhi earlier this week.

Meanwhile, the Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta, accused Chief Minister Atishi of occupying the Sheeshmahal. He said, “When Chief Minister Atishi has already been allotted a government residence AB-17 Mathura Road, she is still illegally occupying the Sheeshmahal. Why did Arvind Kejriwal give the keys of Sheeshmahal to Atishi instead of handing them over to Delhi PWD officials?”

“The officials of Kejriwal’s government are deliberately protecting this illegal occupation. I demand from the PWD department that Sheeshmahal should be sealed immediately and legal action should be taken,” he added.

On Wednesday, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh held a press conference where he accused the BJP of obstructing the bungalow’s allocation to Atishi. Singh claimed that the Chief Minister’s camp office on the premises had already been vacated and provided documents to support the claim that Kejriwal had vacated the house in accordance with proper procedures.

He further alleged that the BJP had ulterior motives to “usurp” the bungalow, preventing its allocation to the current Delhi Chief Minister.

  • Bhopal Drug Factory: Used to order chemicals from others’ GSTIN for the factory, supplied drugs through code words like Happy Pills

    Revelation on drug manufacturing factory

    HighLights

Smugglers used to order chemicals from GSTIN of other company, used to talk in emoji and code words and supplied drugs with code words like Happy Pills.

Naiduniya Representative, Bhopal: The work of manufacturing MD drugs was going on fraudulently in the factory of Bagroda industrial area of Bhopal. This disclosure was made by the three drug smugglers caught by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) during interrogation during remand. Arrested smuggler Amit Chaturvedi was fraudulently using the Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN) of some factories in the industrial city of Bagroda. Through these he used to import chemicals from outside.

Used to ask for drugs in the name of Happy Pills

At the same time, NCB has also recovered the conversations of smugglers through internet media through codes and emojis on WhatsApp. In this, the three accused used to exchange one meter of cloth for one kilogram of MD using code words and emojis. NCB was monitoring this suspicious message on the internet media. It has been revealed that customers used to demand MD drugs in the name of Happy Pills.

    3 smugglers on remand

Let us tell you that on October 5, NCB Delhi and ATS Gujarat recovered synthetic drugs from a closed factory in Bagroda, the industrial city of Bhopal and arrested Amit Chaturvedi and Sanyal Bane. After interrogating both of them, a smuggler named Harish Anjana was arrested from Mandsaur. Currently all three are on remand.

Chemical worth Rs 60 lakh recovered

After the matter came to light, Bhopal Police also came into action and traced the warehouse of Amit Chaturvedi and recovered chemicals worth Rs 60 lakh. During this time, the police has also claimed that if MD drugs were made from this chemical, its estimated price in the market would have been Rs 350 crore.

    Collect GSTIN by roaming around

Drug factory partner Amit Chaturvedi has confessed during interrogation during remand that there were many times problems in ordering chemicals. GSTIN was required for this, so he had found an easy way out. They used to order chemicals using the name and GSTIN written on the board outside other factories.

Used to order chemicals from others’ GSTIN

Those sending chemicals used to ask for GSTIN and generate e-way bills. Amit was aware that first of all, the consignor will not immediately update it on the portal and even if he updates it, the person in whose name the GSTIN is registered will not always keep an eye on the portal. For this reason the original owner could not get information about it. After the goods were booked, he used to get the truck driver’s number from the transporter and get the goods unloaded at the factory.

The owner came to know while filing the return

This error in GSTIN came to the notice of the original owner while filing quarterly returns. However, Amit had done this only twice, when he had ordered goods from Gujarat. Chairman of Bagroda Industrial Committee, Navneet Vyas said that the chemical was procured from the GSTIN of the factory. This information has been given to the investigating agencies.

Anjana was also caught in smuggling of doda-sawdust in Gwalior.

Harish Anjana was caught by Gwalior Crime Branch and Mohana police station from Mandsaur on March 6, 2023. At that time he was the divisional president of BJYM. He was arrested after money transactions came to light in the case of smuggling of 1900 kg of sawdust in a truck in Gwalior.

The sawdust was brought in trucks from Nagaland. According to the team that arrested him, his supporters surrounded the vehicle when he was caught. When we left for Gwalior with difficulty, political influential people put pressure on us to leave on the way. Throughout the way, he had been threatening the policemen to make them take off their uniforms. As soon as he came out on bail, he again got into the black drug trade.

  • Delhi High Court Issues Notice On Plea To Allow Sonam Wangchuk To Hold Protest At Jantar Mantar |

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued a notice seeking responses from the Delhi Police, the Government of NCT Delhi, and other respondents on a plea filed by the Apex Body Leh.
The plea requested permission for climate activist Sonam Wangchuk and others to hold a peaceful protest or fast at Jantar Mantar from October 8 to October 23, 2024.

A bench comprising Justice Prathiba M. Singh and Justice Amit Sharma has directed the parties to submit their replies by October 18, 2024, with a detailed hearing scheduled for October 22, 2024.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, representing the Delhi Police, opposed the plea, questioning the urgency of the protest.

The Apex Body Leh approached the Delhi High Court on Tuesday, seeking permission for Sonam Wangchuk and other ‘Padyatris’ to hold a peaceful protest (Anshan) at Jantar Mantar or another suitable location. The plea asserts that this is a fundamental right under Articles 19(1)(a) and 19(1)(b) of the Indian Constitution, which protect free speech and peaceful assembly.

The petition mentions that around 200 participants initiated a peaceful protest march, known as a Padyatra, from Leh, Ladakh, to New Delhi, covering over 900 kilometres in 30 days. Their aim is to raise awareness about the ecological and cultural degradation of Ladakh and the broader Himalayan region. The petitioners wish to hold an awareness campaign and peaceful protests at Jantar Mantar or another suitable location in Delhi.

The Delhi Police had rejected the Padyatra protest request, citing “no valid grounds”.

The petition argues that on October 5, 2024, the Delhi Police arbitrarily rejected the request for a peaceful demonstration at Jantar Mantar, thereby violating the petitioners’ fundamental rights to free speech and peaceful assembly under Articles 19(1)(a) and 19(1)(b) of the Constitution.

Furthermore, the petition claims that the Delhi Police have not provided valid or reasonable grounds for this rejection, despite the peaceful nature of the march. It assures that the proposed demonstration is a peaceful expression of dissent, aimed at raising awareness of significant social issues.

The planned Anshan seeks to communicate grievances to the authorities, and the denial of permission suppresses this fundamental right, limiting the petitioners’ ability to engage in public discourse, thereby undermining the principle of open expression.
