  • Collectors will go from village to village and listen to small problems, preparations for Chief Secretary Anurag Jain’s conference

Chief Secretary Anurag Jain may call a collectors conference soon. file photo

    HighLights

Many issues will be discussed in the Collectors’ Conference. Chief Secretary’s instructions to prepare a master plan will make it mandatory for collectors to spend the night in the village.

State Bureau, Naiduniya Bhopal. To bring administrative tightening in the state, Chief Secretary Anurag Jain is going to call a collectors conference soon. In this he will make everyone aware of the priorities of good governance. Anurag Jain thinks that unless the Collector goes among the public, he will not have complete information about the public problems. In particular, good governance has been affected due to the closure of collector visits in villages, hence now it is being made mandatory for every collector to stay overnight in the village.

Collectors have also stopped the tradition of inspection of Tehsil and District Panchayat offices, it is being started again. Now all collectors will have to send advance tour diary to the Chief Secretary every month. In this they will have to tell for how many days they will visit the district.

    solve small problems

The Chief Secretary believes that due to not visiting the district, the common man has to face minor problems like map, measles and demarcation. The aim is to create a sense of trust towards governance and administration. Now collectors will have to work with sensitivity by keeping the interests of the general public paramount.

The priority of the Chief Secretary is that there should be quick solution to the problems of the general public, for this all the officers including Collector, SDM, Tehsildar will have to work in alert mode 24 hours. The message is clear that there should be no laxity in the implementation of the government’s flagship schemes. Work together on mission mode to ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach 100% of the beneficiaries.

    Working style of Chief Secretary

The actions of the administration should create a sense of trust in governance and administration in the minds of the public. Officers should ensure time to meet the public. New Chief Secretary Anurag Jain has made his work culture clear as soon as he takes charge. On the very first day he met the farmers and talked about their problems. Its direct message is that now every officer will have to fix a time to meet the general public every day.

    have to meet common people

At present, there are very few districts in the state where collectors meet the common people. The public hearing has also been made formal. Instead of the Collector himself, he makes other officers sit in the public hearing. Making a master plan for every district will be mandatory. The Chief Secretary has given instructions to make master plans for all the big divisional headquarters districts. In the next phase, all the districts will also have to prepare a master plan so that no illegal colony can develop.

Collectors will be informed about the issues

According to sources, collectors will be informed about all these issues in the collectors conference. The second big issue is that of the institutions of the urban body. No collector is paying attention to the irregularities in the municipal bodies. Due to this, even small city councils and municipalities have incurred liabilities worth crores of rupees. Now reports of its regular inspection will be taken from the collectors.
