  • Howrah-Mumbai Train Derailed: List Of Today’s Trains Cancelled |

    New Delhi: The derailment of the 12810 Howrah-Mumbai mail on Tuesday morning resulted in the cancellation and short termination and origination of the train on July 30. The South Eastern Railway announced the cancellation of five trains and four trains have been either short-terminated or short-originated due to the accident. 

    In a tragic incident, two people were killed and others injured after several coaches of the Howrah-CSMT Express derailed near Chakradharpur in Jharkhand. The accident took place around 3:45 am, after which Accident Relief Medical Equipment (ARME), with staff and Additional Divisional Railway Managers CKP (Chakradharpur Railway Station), reached on-site to manage the situation.

    Naiduniya representative, Gwalior. Congress MLA from Gwalior rural assembly constituency Sahab Singh Gurjar thrashed women from tribal and Dalit communities. He also behaved indecently with them. Police have lodged an FIR against the Congress MLA in this case. The women say that they had gone to the MLA’s residence to demand an electricity connection. The MLA chased them away from the door, and when they stood at the door to plead, the MLA himself thrashed them.

    The victimised tribal elderly woman said that she is pleading for justice from Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. He should get us justice. The University police station has started investigation by registering an FIR under Section 115, 3 and 296 of the Indian Penal Code. The women suffering from the electricity problem had reached the office of Congress MLA Sahab Singh Gurjar. Here the women apprised him of the electricity problem, about which they had complained many times before. The woman Munni Lodhi said that she has complained to the Congress MLA for the fifth time, even after which she got assurances.

    The women said that they had voted in the elections so that their problems could be solved. Meanwhile, the MLA suddenly came and started beating the woman. When Naiduniya spoke to MLA Sahab Singh Gurjar in this matter, he said that the men and women had come to the office regarding the electricity problem. It is true that there is an electricity problem in their area. These people had come to me earlier also.

    Understanding their problem, I called the concerned officials of the electricity department and requested them to solve the problem, but the officials of the electricity company did not solve the problem. Today these people came again. I called the officials once again in front of them. Meanwhile, these people started getting agitated and rushed towards me, the security guard tried to stop them.

    Bhog Aarti takes place at 12 noon and Sandhya Aarti takes place at 7:30. After this, Ramlala is put to sleep at 8:30. Darshan of Ramlala can be done only till 7:30.

    Ramlala is offered food four times a day. Different dishes are served to Ramlala every day and time. These dishes are prepared in the kitchen of Ram Mandir. The morning starts with Bal Bhog.

  • Supreme Court Hemant Soren Bail Hemant Soren’s bail is valid

    New Delhi. The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed the ED’s plea challenging the Jharkhand High Court’s decision to grant bail to Chief Minister Hemant Soren in a money laundering case related to an alleged land scam. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren welcomed the court’s decision. Speaking to reporters in Ranchi, he stressed the importance of maintaining the rule of law and said that he was sent to jail on false pretexts, aimed at tarnishing his and his family’s reputation.

    He said, “I was imprisoned as if I had fled with the state property… allegations were made against the Soren family in a planned manner.”

    Earlier, a bench of Justices B R Gavai and K V Vishwanathan said that the June 28 order of the High Court was “highly reasoned”. The bench said, “We are not inclined to interfere with the relevant order.” However, the apex court said that since the comments made by the High Court were related to considering granting bail, it would have no effect on the hearing or any other stage of proceedings in the subordinate court. It said, “We think the single judge (High Court) has given a very reasoned decision. … We do not want to say anything more … If we say, you (ED) may get into trouble.”

  • At least 19 Killed As Massive Landslide Hits Kerala’s Wayanad District, Over 400 Feared Trapped |

    At least 19 individuals died in landslides that struck Kerala’s Wayanad district on Tuesday, reported Zee news TV. The fatalities included four people, one of whom was a child, in Chooralmala town, and a one-year-old child from a Nepali family in Thondernad village, according to district officials.

    A massive landslide hit various hilly regions near Meppadi in Kerala’s Wayanad district early Tuesday morning, leaving over 400 people feared trapped in the rubble, reported PTI.

    According to PTI, a video statement by UDF MLA T Siddique mentioned that district officials are developing plans to airlift individuals from the Mundakkai region.

    He added, “We do not yet have full details on the missing and deceased from the landslides. Several areas are inaccessible, and NDRF teams are working to reach these locations.”

    The Mundakkai, Chooralmala, Attamala, and Noolpuzha villages were among the areas affected and cut off by the landslides, authorities said.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his concerns over the matter on social media ‘X’, he wrote, “Distressed by the landslides in parts of Wayanad. My thoughts are with all those who have lost their loved ones and prayers with those injured. Rescue ops are currently underway to assist all those affected. Spoke to Kerala CM Shri @ pinarayivijayan and also assured all possible help from the Centre in the wake of the prevailing situation there.”

    According to the Chief Minister of Kerala’s office, CM Pinarayi Vijayan has directed immediate coordination of rescue efforts in Wayanad following the severe landslide. He stated that the entire government is engaged in the response, with Ministers overseeing and managing the operations.

    The Kerala State Disaster Management Authority (KSDMA) has announced that Fireforce and NDRF teams are on the ground in the affected area, with another NDRF team heading to Wayanad. 

    Two teams from the Kannur Defence Security Corps have been directed to proceed to Wayanad to support the rescue operations, as stated in a KSDMA Facebook update. 

    Reports from residents indicate that many individuals may be trapped in the affected areas. Rescue operations are facing significant delays due to continuous heavy rainfall. 

    Meanwhile,the weather department has issued a red alert for Wayanad, forecasting severe rain. Additionally, an orange alert has been issued for eight other districts—Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod—predicting extremely heavy rainfall in these areas.

The attackers who came on foot fired at the youth sitting in the car with a pistol. When the youth ran away to save his life, the attackers chased him and fired a bullet which hit his hip.

  • Yogi’s Uttar Pradesh Proposes Lifetime Imprisonment For ‘Love Jihad’ Convicts |

    Uttar Pradesh government under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has moved to make significant changes in the love jihad law. The Yogi government has introduced the Uttar Pradesh Unlawful Religious Conversion Prohibition Bill 2024 in the assembly, proposing a lifetime imprisonment for the convicts. The bill also proposes to make funding for unlawful religious conversions a crime under this law.

    The Uttar Pradesh’s Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act, 2021 had provisions for sentences ranging from 1 to 10 years. Under this act, conversions solely for the purpose of marriage is deemed invalid. Conversions carried out through deceit or falsehood is also considered criminal offenses. For voluntary conversions, individuals must inform the magistrate two months in advance.

    According to the Act, forced or deceitful conversions will result in a jail term of 1 to 5 years along with a fine of Rs 15,000. If such actions involve minors, women, or members of the SC-ST community, the penalty increases to a jail term of 3 to 10 years and a fine of Rs 25,000. The Act also stipulates that individuals seeking to convert must notify the district magistrate using a prescribed form two months in advance. Failure to comply will result in a jail term of 6 months to 3 years and a minimum fine of Rs 10,000.

    The love jihad and religious conversion have been a hot topic in Uttar Pradesh and other BJP-ruled states.

    A 3-year-old child fell into a closed borewell in Singrauli. Due to rain, the soil of the old borewell had caved in. Collector, SP and other administrative staff were present at the spot.

    Singrauli: A 3-year-old innocent girl fell into an old closed borewell in Singrauli. The incident took place on July 29 at around 4:30 pm. Collector Chandrashekhar Shukla, Superintendent of Police Mrs. Nivedita Gupta, NCL CMD B Sainath and other officials are engaged in rescue operations. The girl is trapped in an 18-20 feet deep pit and oxygen is being supplied through pipes. Local MLA Rajendra Meshram is also present at the spot.

    Borewell collapsed in the field

    According to the information, Pintu Shah has a farm in Kasar village of Janpad Panchayat Chitrangi. There is an 8 to 10 year old borewell in the farm, which the farmer had already stopped using. On 25 and 26 July, due to rain, the soil caved in and a pit was formed. Soumya Shah fell into the same pit at around 4:30 pm.

    Excavation done up to 15 feet

    SP Nivedita Gupta said that the eight-year-old borewell was filled up. The soil had caved in due to rain, in which the girl slipped and fell. Digging is being done with a JCB. Excavation has been done up to 15 feet and some more machines have been ordered, which will speed up the rescue.

    NCL CMD B Sainath, General Manager Gorbi Block B Project have reached the spot for rescue along with CISF security teams. The girl is trapped at a depth of about 18 to 20 feet, oxygen is being supplied through pipes to save her life.
