  • Morena Hospital: Is this a hospital or a waiting room… Government doctors do not come even after a long wait, helpless patients return with pain

The patients admitted in the ward kept waiting for the doctors to arrive.

    Highlights

Lack of doctors in Ambah Civil Hospital. Problems in OPD due to retirement of doctors. Lack of doctors, patients return without treatment.

Naiduniya representative, Ambah-Morena. The system of Ambah Civil Hospital is going haywire. After the retirement of two doctors, neither doctors were found in OPD nor treatment was available in emergency ward. Due to this many patients returned without getting treatment and were forced to go to private clinics. No doctor came even to check the pulse of admitted patients.

The BMO says that a report has been sent to the CMHO for action against the absent doctors. This situation was seen in Ambah Civil Hospital on Friday, when only one doctor was found in the OPD of the hospital. In the afternoon, BMO Dr. Pramod Sharma himself sat in the OPD, but by then many patients had returned without getting treatment.

    Recently 2 doctors retired

Two doctors of Ambah Hospital have retired recently, these include Dr. GC Arya and Dr. Deepak Silawat. Even after the retirement of two doctors, there are four doctors posted in Ambah Hospital, out of which two, Dr. PP Sharma and Dr. Pradeep Kapasiya, took leave on Friday. After this, the entire system of the hospital collapsed.

Doctor Satish Yadav came to the OPD on Friday, but there was a huge crowd of patients, due to which many people did not get treatment. After noon, BMO Dr. Pradeep Sharma himself sat in the OPD, but the emergency ward remained empty. The checkup of the patients admitted in the hospital was to be done before 12 noon, that too did not happen on Friday, due to which the patients and their relatives got upset and kept making rounds of the doctors’ chambers. It has been told that Dr. Pradeep Kapasiya was on duty in the emergency ward from 2 PM, but he too did not come to the hospital after noon.

    Conditions worsened instead of improving

The health services of Ambah Hospital have been in a bad state for a long time. After complaints of doctors not coming to the hospital regularly and on time and even taking money from pregnant women, CMHO Dr. Padmesh Upadhyay had conducted a surprise inspection of Civil Hospital Ambah on Wednesday, but after the inspection of CMHO, the situation has worsened instead of improving.

During the inspection, the BMO of Civil Hospital Ambah had also talked about the shortage of doctors in front of CMHO Dr. Padmesh Upadhyay, after which the CMHO had put two doctors of Khariyahar Hospital on duty in Ambah Hospital. Earlier also, two doctors of Khariyahar were put on duty in Ambah Hospital, but they did not come to Ambah Hospital to provide services. These two doctors did not come to Ambah since Friday, and some of the doctors who were already there also remained missing without any information.

Dr. PP Sharma and Dr. Pradeep Kapasiya were absent without informing, so I had to sit in the OPD myself. A report has been sent to the CMHO against both of them. Two doctors of Khadiyahar Hospital were on duty earlier also, but they did not come to Ambah Hospital even then. – Dr. Pradeep Sharma, BMO, Ambah Hospital

  • United Nations Praises Modi Government Over Poverty Alleviation Steps Using ‘Smartphones’; Watch |

NEW YORK: Stressing the use of digitisation for rapid development, the President of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, Dennis Francis, lavished praise on India for its work in this direction, which has lifted 800 million out of poverty in the last 5-6 years. He highlighted how people in rural areas of India, are able to make payments and pay bills just on the touch of a smartphone.

“Providing the basis to rapid development, such as through digitalisation. Take, for example, the case of India…India has been able to lift 800 million people out of poverty over the last 5-6 years simply by the use of smartphones,” Francis said during his lecture at the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the UN on the topic of ‘Accelerating progress towards Zero Hunger for the current and future generations.’

UNGA President Dennis Francis praises India’s digital transformation under PM Modi with the success of the Jan Dhan, Aadhar, and Mobile (JAM) initiative, which has enabled rural farmers to conduct transactions on smartphones. pic.twitter.com/X7Es3o91mr
    — Sidhant Sibal (@sidhant) August 1, 2024

Francis emphasised the high internet penetration in India as a major factor why India has been able to benefit but not many other countries of the Global South. “Rural farmers in India who never had a relationship with the banking system, are now able to transact all their businesses on their smartphone. They pay their bills, they receive payments for orders. 800 million people lifted out of poverty. Because there is a high level of internet penetration in India, almost everyone has a cellphone,” he said.

“That is not the case in many parts of the Global South. So, there has to be equity demands, there has to be some effort, initiative to address this inequality as an initial step in negotiating the global framework for digitalisation,” the UNGA President added. Notably, digitisation has been one of the main focuses of the Narendra Modi government in the last 10 years. A rapid rise has been witnessed in digital payment transactions in the country in the last decade and UPI has emerged as a major contributor to it.

PM Modi has promoted the use of digitisation through the JAM initiative — Jan Dhan, Aadhar, and Mobile. Under this, people have been encouraged to open their bank accounts and every account has been linked with Aadhar. This has helped in connecting people across the country, even in the rural areas with various government schemes and the social benefit payments reaching directly into the ban account of people.

The relatives of the newborn demanded strict action against the culprits. Symbolic picture.

Case of death of 11 day old newborn, girl lost her life due to negligence, GRMC Principal said that action against culprits will be taken after examining the record, record reached GRMC from Morena and District Hospital

Naiduniya Pratinidhi, Gwalior. In the case of the death of an 11-day-old girl due to not getting treatment even after reaching the doorstep of government hospitals, the relatives of the girl say that what happened to us should not happen to anyone else, so strict action should be taken against the culprits. We will complain to the officers for this.

Here, in the case of the girl’s death, in the investigation being conducted by GRMC Dean Dr. RKS Dhakad regarding the negligence of the pediatric department of KRH and the pediatric surgery department of the Super Specialty Hospital regarding the treatment of the girl, the records from Morena and District Hospital Murar have reached GRMC. Now the GRMC management is claiming to take action against the culprits after examining the records.

Due to GAMC Dean Dr. Dhakad going out for personal work, the records could not be examined, due to which the culprits could not be identified on Thursday. Now after the Dean returns, action against the culprits will be decided. Along with this, children admitted for pediatric surgery in KRH’s Pediatric SNCU will now be admitted in the Pediatric Surgery Ward of the Super Specialty Hospital. If a pediatric doctor is required, the doctor will reach there and examine the child. Such instructions have been given by Dean Dr. Dhakad. This arrangement was made after the death of the newborn girl.

The girl did not even get oxygen support in KRH, hence she died

The girl’s uncle Bunty Sakhwar said that when we took the girl from the district hospital to the pediatric SNCU of KRH, she needed oxygen at that time. We requested the doctors posted there to put the girl on oxygen support, but the doctors called the guards and got us thrown out. Due to which the girl’s health deteriorated further. If she had got oxygen support there in time, her life could have been saved. Frustrated from here, we returned to the district hospital at night, but the girl had died before reaching there.

The records that were called for from Morena and the district hospital have been found. I am out now, as soon as I return, the records will be examined and action will be taken against the culprits.

Here, the railways are compared to the army. ‘Aharnisham Sevamahe’ Although the army remains ready during the war, the railways keep running all the time, day and night, in winter, rain, Diwali, Holi, Eid etc. During the Corona period, our railways sometimes become hospitals. Just as Hanuman ji worked to bring Sanjeevani, in the same way the railways also work to deliver oxygen. Our railways are the ‘Lifeline of the Nation’.
