Ranchi. President of India Draupadi Murmu has stressed on the need to increase the activities of secondary agriculture to increase the income of the farmers of the country and empower the agriculture sector. President Draupadi Murmu on Friday attended the function organized on the 100th anniversary of the ‘National Institute of Secondary Agriculture’ (NISA) located at Namkum, Ranchi as the chief guest. Addressing the function, she said that the central government has taken many big steps to improve and develop the agriculture sector and help the farmers. The government is continuously working towards the development of agro-based industries, expansion of organizations like FPO and PACS, work on the world’s largest storage planning, development of natural farming and strengthening the supply chain. The President said that to further empower the farmers, there is a need to promote secondary agriculture including beekeeping, poultry farming, agricultural tourism. In the 21st century, the three major challenges in the agriculture sector in our country are maintaining food nutrition and preservation, ensuring sustainable use of resources and taking steps to adapt to climate change. Secondary agriculture can prove to be very helpful in facing these challenges.

If farmers are encouraged to do activities like beekeeping, poultry farming, agricultural tourism along with primary farming, then they will not need to go out of the village to increase their income. Describing the 100-year journey of the National Institute of Secondary Agriculture in Ranchi as historic, the President said that this institute has done commendable work in lac farming, its production and processing in a scientific way. He had got a chance to visit this institute even while being the Governor of Jharkhand and he found that it has empowered the farmers by training them. 55 percent of the lac in the country is produced in Jharkhand and most of the farmers from tribal communities are associated with it. This institute has been helpful in improving their standard of living. He said that today there is a demand for high quality lac in the pharmaceuticals and cosmetics industry. He hopes that this institute will work in this direction. This will increase the income of farmers producing lac.

  • One Nation One Election proposal approved, will be presented in the winter session of Parliament

Newsroom Team: The cabinet led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the proposal for One Nation One Election in India. The cabinet approved the proposal to hold simultaneous elections in the country in a meeting held on Wednesday. It will be presented in Parliament in the winter session. Let us tell you that the Kovind Committee has given a report on this. Let us tell you that the committee led by former President Ramnath Kovind had submitted its report in March on the possibilities of One Nation One Election. According to the suggestions given in this report, as a first step, elections to the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies should be held simultaneously. The committee has further recommended that local body elections should also be held within 100 days of the Lok Sabha and State Assembly elections being held simultaneously. This will enable elections at all levels to be conducted across the country within a fixed time period. Currently, elections to state assemblies and Lok Sabha are held separately. At the same time, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said on the cabinet meeting that the Union Cabinet has accepted the report of the Kovind panel on one nation, one election. This will reduce the burden of expenditure in elections. The Union Minister said that Venus Orbiter Mission, extension of Gaganyaan and Chandrayaan-4 mission have also been approved in the cabinet meeting. Earlier, on the completion of 100 days of the third term of the Modi government, Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing a press conference, had said that one nation, one election will be implemented in the country before the completion of this term. Let us tell you that earlier this year, a high level panel headed by former President Ram Nath Kovind had also recommended the preparation of a common voter list and voter ID card by the Election Commission of India (ECI) in consultation with the state election officials. Currently, the ECI is responsible for the Lok Sabha and assembly elections, while the local body elections for municipalities and panchayats are managed by the State Election Commissions. It had recommended holding simultaneous elections for both the state assemblies. For this, the panel also suggested 18 constitutional amendments, most of which do not require approval of the state assembly but will need Parliament’s approval in the form of a Constitutional Amendment Bill.

Got support from 32 political parties

The committee headed by former President Ram Nath Kovind had contacted 62 parties on this issue. Out of these, 47 political parties had given their opinion, while 15 parties did not give any response. Out of the 47 parties that responded, 32 supported the idea of holding simultaneous elections, while 15 parties opposed it.

Benefits of One Nation One Election

Holding simultaneous elections across the country will save crores of rupees. Also, the Election Commission will be relieved from holding elections again and again. By holding simultaneous elections, the focus will not be on elections but on development. Also, there will be no need to impose code of conduct again and again. This will also help in curbing black money.

  • Jharkhand election Modi Modi started campaigning in Jharkhand

Ranchi/Jamshedpur. Assembly elections in Jharkhand will be announced next month but before that Prime Minister Narendra Modi started campaigning on Sunday. He addressed the Parivartan rally organized by the party in Jamshedpur and launched a big attack on the three parties of the coalition running the government in the state – JMM, Congress and RJD. The Prime Minister called these three parties the biggest enemies of Jharkhand.

Prime Minister Modi said- Jharkhand has three enemies, JMM, Congress and RJD. RJD has been taking revenge since the formation of separate Jharkhand. On the other hand, Congress hates Jharkhand. Despite being in power for so many years, Congress did nothing for the development of Jharkhand. The Prime Minister further said- If you want the development of the state, then give BJP a chance. However, after the formation of separate Jharkhand state, BJP has been in power for most of the time. The Prime Minister called JMM the enemy of Jharkhand but BJP has formed the government with JMM twice.

However, Prime Minister Modi also targeted JMM regarding infiltration. He said that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is standing with Bangladeshi infiltrators. In the politics of appeasement, these people first sacrifice the interests of Dalits, tribals and backward society. Earlier, the Prime Minister flagged off six Vande Bharat trains from Ranchi airport. He also launched seven major railway projects online. Along with this, two crore concrete houses were also given to the people.

Earlier, PM Modi was supposed to do all these programs from Tatanagar railway station, but due to bad weather, the helicopter could not fly. Due to this, he did all the work from Ranchi airport and after that he reached Jamshedpur by road. Due to heavy rain, his road show from Bistupur Main Road to Gopal Maidan in Jamshedpur was also cancelled.

  • Jharkhand’s three enemies, JMM, RJD and Congress, are standing with Bangladeshi infiltrators: Modi

Jamshedpur: While addressing the Parivartan Sankalp Sabha in Jamshedpur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has strongly attacked the Jharkhand India Alliance. While addressing the public meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a major attack on Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, RJD and Congress. He said that JMM, RJD and Congress are the biggest enemies of Jharkhand. PM Modi said that even today RJD takes revenge for the creation of Jharkhand from Jharkhand and Congress hates Jharkhand. These JMM people made their politics shine with the votes of the tribals, with whom are they standing today? These people are with those who have occupied the forest land of the tribals.

These people sacrifice the interests of Dalits, tribals and backward communities

PM Modi said that the people of JMM are standing with Bangladeshi and Rohingya infiltrators. These infiltrators and fundamentalists are taking over JMM as well. Their people have even entered Jharkhand Mukti Morcha. Do you know why this happened? Because the ghost of Congress has entered JMM and when the ghost of Congress enters a party, appeasement becomes the only agenda of that party. For this, first of all these people sacrifice the interests of Dalits, tribals and backward society. The same is happening with JMM.
