  • Hemant Soren called a meeting of MLAs

    Ranchi. Chief Minister Hemant Soren has called a meeting of the legislative party on Wednesday amid speculations of major action by the central agency Enforcement Directorate i.e. ED. It is being told that a new leader can be elected in this meeting. However, Hemant Soren has denied that he is going to hand over power to his wife Kalpana Soren or that he will contest the by-election from Gandeya assembly seat of the state. Talking to a news agency, Hemant said that this is a mere imagination of BJP.

    It is noteworthy that ED has issued notice to Hemant Soren seven times. The agency wants to interrogate him in connection with the Ranchi land scam but he has not appeared before the agency. Only then is it being said that the agency can arrest him. Meanwhile, Gandey assembly constituency MLA Sarfaraz Ahmed suddenly resigned on Monday, after which speculation started that Hemant Soren is preparing to hand over the reins of power to his wife. However, it is being said from BJP that the tenure of the Assembly is less than one year, hence by-election cannot be held on Gandey or any other seat and hence Hemant cannot make his wife the Chief Minister.

    Amidst this development, Hemant Soren has called a meeting of the legislature party of the Grand Alliance on January 3. The Chief Minister is also taking legal advice in this regard. Hemant Soren met Advocate General Rajiv Ranjan on Tuesday. A meeting of senior officials was also held in which Chief Minister’s Secretary Vinay Choubey was also present. Meanwhile, the discussion about the sealed envelope in Raj Bhavan has once again intensified. The sealed envelope contains the report of the Election Commission, on the basis of which the Governor has to take a decision regarding the Chief Minister’s assembly membership. If the Governor disqualifies him, the crisis in the state will deepen.

    Then on Saturday, the ED team reached the Chief Minister’s residence with heavy security arrangements to interrogate Hemant Soren. Regarding this, security had already been increased outside the Chief Minister’s residence. However, for the last two days, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha workers and people from tribal organizations have been protesting in support of Hemant. Then the administration issued an order to impose Section 144 outside the CM House from 7 pm to 11 pm.

    However, on Saturday during the day the ED team reached CM House with a convoy of nine vehicles. It has been told that seven ED officials had reached Ranchi for questioning. Of these, three officers had come from Delhi. A person from Garhwa has tried to commit suicide in protest against the questioning of the CM. The police took him into custody and kept him in Argora police station. To avoid any such untoward incident, tight security arrangements have been made outside the CM residence and Section 144 has been imposed.

Through this examination of SSC-CGL, 2025 posts are to be appointed in various departments of the state government. Six and a half lakh candidates have applied for this. Due to the huge number of candidates, the exam date was fixed on two dates: 28 January and 4 February.

    On the first date i.e. 28th January, the examination for three different papers was held in three shifts at 735 centers across the state, in which about three lakh candidates had appeared. Students who appeared for the exam said that the question paper of the third paper had already gone viral on WhatsApp. The Commission canceled the examination of the third paper after prima facie confirmation of the complaints received from the candidates. It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister had come to Delhi by a special flight on the evening of 27 January.     Earlier, on January 20, the ED had recorded the Chief Minister’s statement under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, PMLA, at his official residence.     Jharkhand Mukti Morcha General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya said that Chief Minister Hemant Soren has given time to the ED for questioning on the email. CM is ready for questioning on January 31 at 1 pm. He said- ED’s action is undemocratic. Meanwhile, JMM workers have gathered in Morhabadi area of ​​Ranchi to protest against the ED action and want to march to Raj Bhavan. However, security arrangements have been tightened around the Chief Minister’s residence and Governor Bhavan. Security of the state office of BJP and important leaders of all parties has also been increased.

    Amidst the news of ED action and Chief Minister’s disappearance, Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan said on Monday – If the Chief Minister is not answering today then he will have to answer tomorrow. As a true citizen we must obey. The law and order situation is not very satisfactory. I have expressed this many times. Action will have to be taken. Meanwhile, it is also being said that no one has any information about Chief Minister Soren’s whereabouts since Sunday. There is also talk that the Chief Minister may be arrested.
