Ranchi. In the NEET-UG Paper Leak Case, the CBI has detained Surabhi Kumari, a first year student of Ranchi-based medical college RIMS. Surabhi is said to be a member of the solver gang, which prepared the answer to the leaked question paper. The CBI team detained her after questioning late on Thursday evening. The agency has also taken information about the student from RIMS Students Welfare Dean Dr. Shiv Priya. In this case, some more medicos of Ranchi may come under the purview of CBI investigation. The CBI arrested four medical students of Patna AIIMS associated with the solver gang on Thursday morning. After this, clues were found about other members of the gang.

The RIMS student detained by the agency is a resident of Ara in Ramgarh district. She had secured 56th rank in the NEET exam last year. According to sources, during preliminary interrogation, she has admitted to solving the question paper and receiving money in exchange for it. The CBI’s investigation so far has found sufficient evidence that the NEET-UG paper was leaked from Hazaribagh in Jharkhand. The agency had arrested an engineer, Pankaj Kumar, from Patna on charges of stealing the question paper sent to the examination centers in Hazaribagh. Pankaj had provided the stolen question paper to Raju Singh, the operator of Hazaribagh’s Raj Guest House and after this the paper was sent to Patna, where the selected candidates staying in the hostel were made to memorize the answers of the questions overnight.

The investigation has also revealed that some students were made to stay in a guest house in Hazaribagh and were made to memorize the answers to the questions. Currently, the CBI is interrogating Pankaj Kumar and Raju Singh on remand. The agency had arrested Hazaribagh Oasis School Principal and NTA City Coordinator CBI Ehsan Ul Haq, Vice Principal Md. Imtiaz and a daily newspaper journalist Jamaluddin on 28 June in the paper leak case. As the scope of the investigation increases, the names and faces of the people involved in this entire scam are coming out one by one.

Governor CP Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office as the 13th Chief Minister of the state on Wednesday. Hemant Soren was arrested in the Raj Bhavan after resigning on January 31 and now on the sixth day after being released from jail on bail, he again took oath as the Chief Minister in the Raj Bhavan. Champai Soren, who became the CM after his resignation, resigned on Wednesday.

However, on Thursday, Hemant Soren took oath alone. Soon his cabinet will also be sworn in. He has become the 13th CM of Jharkhand in 24 years. With this, he has become the third leader to take oath as the Chief Minister of the state for the third time. Before him, his father Shibu Soren and BJP leader Arjun Munda have taken oath as CM thrice. It is worth noting that Hemant Soren resigned from the post of CM on 31 January and was arrested on the same day. He took oath again 156 days after that.

After taking oath as Chief Minister for the third time, Hemant Soren said- The Mahagathbandhan government has done all the action plans in accordance with the sentiments of the people since 2019. Champai Soren took it forward amidst political ups and downs because I was in jail. Today I have been able to come out by the order of the court. Now further work will be done while taking charge of my work again. Former Chief Minister Champai Soren said- I congratulate Hemant Soren for the formation of the new government. We have full hope that he will complete all the tasks.

Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan said after the oath- If you follow the Constitution, then the Constitution expects all of us to solve the problems of the poor, the same expectation is from my new government as well. Hemant Soren’s younger brother Basant Soren and Congress quota minister Badal Patralekh have been dropped this time. This time three new faces have been given place in the cabinet. These include Dr. Irfan Ansari and Deepika Pandey Singh from Congress quota and Vaidyanath Ram from JMM quota. Irfan Ansari has been given place in the cabinet as a minority face in place of jailed former minister Alamgir Alam, while Deepika Pandey Singh has been replaced by dropped minister Badal. Vaidyanath Ram has been given place by replacing Basant Soren (Hemant Soren’s younger brother) from JMM quota. Hemant Soren took oath as CM for the third time on July 4.

The ED arrested Hemant Soren on 31 January this year in a money laundering case related to the land scam. After this, he resigned from the post of CM. After this, Champai Soren, who was a part of his cabinet, took over the CM’s chair on 2 February. Hemant Soren came out of jail after getting bail from the High Court on 28 June and on the sixth day Champai Soren resigned from the CM post. After this, on the next day, 4 July, Hemant Soren took oath as CM.

With this, the command of the state is going to come into the hands of Hemant Soren once again. According to sources, about five months after leaving the post after the Enforcement Directorate’s arrest, Hemant Soren is set to return as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. Soren was granted bail by the Jharkhand High Court on June 28, about five months after going to jail in a money laundering case related to an alleged land scam. He resigned from the CM post before his arrest on January 31. The court said that initially the ED has no evidence against Hemant Soren.

Earlier, during the discussion on the trust vote in the House, as soon as Chief Minister Hemant Soren stood up to speak, the BJP MLAs started creating a ruckus. Taking a jibe at the BJP, the Chief Minister said- I can understand how the opposition must be feeling seeing me in the House again. If even half of the opposition MLAs seen in the House are seen next time, it will be a big thing. The Chief Minister congratulated Champai Soren for running the government for five months.

It is worth noting that Hemant Soren was released from jail on 28 June. After this, on July 3, after the meeting of JMM and Congress Legislature Party, Champai Soren resigned and Hemant Soren staked claim to form the government. On July 4, Hemant Soren took oath as Chief Minister for the third time.
