  • Madhu Koda Former Jharkhand CM Madhu Koda will not be able to contest elections

Ranchi. Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and BJP leader Madhu Koda will not be able to contest the assembly elections. The Supreme Court has rejected his petition seeking stay on the sentence. Supreme Court Justice Sanjeev Khanna, Justice Sanjay Kumar and Justice R. Mahadevan’s bench gave its verdict after hearing the petition on Friday. Madhu Koda is convicted in the famous coal scam of Jharkhand. On December 13, 2017, the trial court had sentenced Madhu Koda and former coal secretary HC Gupta, former state chief secretary AK Basu and Koda’s close aide Vijay Joshi to three years imprisonment on corruption charges. He was accused of wrongly allotting Rajhara North coal block of Jharkhand to Kolkata-based company Vini Iron and Steel Udyog Limited. Koda is currently on bail.

He has recently joined BJP and wanted to contest the Assembly elections. He had filed a petition in the Delhi High Court demanding a stay on his sentence. The single bench of the High Court had rejected his petition saying that the petitioner wanted to stay the decision only on the ground that he could contest the elections. This is not fair. Prima facie it seems that he is guilty in this case, hence there is no concrete reason to stay the decision of the lower court. This decision of Delhi High Court was challenged by Madhu Koda in the Supreme Court, but she did not get any relief.

  • jharkhand india alliance seat sharing final in congress and jmm also

Ranchi. The ruling JMM, Congress and RJD alliance in Jharkhand has also finalized the seat distribution. The alliance was announced in a joint press conference by JMM and Congress on Saturday. However, after this announcement, Lalu Prasad’s party RJD expressed displeasure and said that it was not taken into confidence. RJD said that both the parties have made the announcement unilaterally. However, JMM and Congress have also left seats for RJD and Left parties.

However, on Saturday, several leaders, including JMM leader and state Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Congress’s Jharkhand in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, announced the seat sharing in a joint press conference. He said- Congress and JMM will contest elections together on 70 seats, information for the remaining 11 seats will be shared soon. Hemant Soren said- brainstorming will be done for other seats. Left parties are also joining us and seats will be shared with them also. It has been agreed to give seven seats to RJD.

It is noteworthy that last time also RJD had contested elections on seven seats but it could win only one seat. Its only MLA Satyanand Bhokta remained a minister for five consecutive years. However, it is believed that out of the 11 seats left by JMM and Congress, four seats will go to the Left Front. If JMM contests on 43 seats like last time, it will mean that Congress will get 27 seats. Last time it had contested on 31 seats. It is noteworthy that last time the seat was not left for the Left Front.

  • Election Commission directed to remove Jharkhand in-charge DGP Anurag Gupta

Ranchi. The Election Commission of India has directed to immediately remove Jharkhand’s acting DGP Anurag Gupta from his post. The Commission has asked to hand over the charge of this post to the most senior officer of DGP rank in his place. After this order, it is considered certain that Ajay Kumar Singh will once again be posted on the post of DGP. It is believed that the state government will issue a notification in this regard today itself. It is being told that there are two reasons behind the Election Commission’s direction to remove Anurag Gupta from the post of DGP. One is that Gupta was posted as acting DGP on 24 July 2024. The second reason being said is that complaints were made against him in the Election Commission. Earlier, he was also accused of involvement in the horse trading case regarding Rajya Sabha elections. However, he later got a clean chit in this case. Before Anurag Gupta, 1989 batch IPS Ajay Kumar Singh was the DGP of the state. Recently, a contempt petition was filed in the Supreme Court, saying that his removal from the post was wrong. While hearing this, the Supreme Court had also issued a notice to acting DGP Gupta. The contempt petition has been filed on behalf of Jamshedpur resident Naresh Makani, in which it has been said that the Supreme Court guidelines have been violated in the appointment of the acting DGP.

Makani said in his petition that the appointment to the DGP post on an ad-hoc basis is in violation of the Supreme Court’s decision given on July 3, 2018. In the decision of the Supreme Court, clear instructions have been given that acting DGP will not be appointed in any state. The petition also said that this is not the first time that the Jharkhand government has made an ad-hoc appointment to an important post like DGP. Earlier on June 8, 2019, the then DGP KN Choubey was transferred to the post of OSD (Modernization) Camp, New Delhi and 1987 batch IPS officer MV Rao was appointed in his place. Again Rao was removed and Neeraj Sinha was appointed in his place on 12 February 2021. Both these appointments were challenged in the Supreme Court. Sinha completed his two-year term on 12 February 2023, paving the way for the appointment of Ajay Kumar Singh on 15 February 2023. All these appointments were challenged in the Supreme Court.

Amir-e-Shariat Hazrat Maulana Faisal Wali Rahmani said that we all strongly oppose the Waqf Bill. This bill is against fundamental rights. Any law is made to solve the problem, but this bill is for the acquisition of Waqf land. In the end, Ameer-e-Shariat said that Rahmani will soon open 30 centers in Jharkhand. Amir-e-Shariat spoke very important things in his short time and also told some special things about the Waqf Amendment Bill 2024 to the Muslims. The program was conducted by Dr. Shahab Aryan. Whereas the program was started with the recitation of Quran by Qari Jaan Mohammad. Conference convener cum Congress leader Anwar Ansari, in his welcome speech, welcomed all the people present and said that the Central Government wants to snatch away the fundamental and constitutional rights of Muslims. There are many such sections in this bill which hurt religious sentiments. The Waqf Amendment Bill aims to weaken the Waqf system, marginalize the Muslim community, and eliminate religious rights. Let us all uphold the values โ€‹โ€‹of justice, fairness and constitutional integrity and reject the divisive legislature. JPC member cum MP Dr. Syed Nasir Hussain said in his address that we will have to fight the BJP together. In case of mob lynching, compensation is given to other people, so why the delay in giving it to Muslims. We ask the Jharkhand government and Irfan Ansari to form Haj Committee within ten days. Sachar Committee’s recommendation came during the time of Congress, after which BJP government came to power at the Center and hence the work could not be done. But wherever Congress is present, work is being done on Sachar Committee. Our leader Rahul Gandhi ji has given the slogan, as much as one’s participation is, so is his share. Therefore, you will get a share in the Jharkhand Assembly elections, you all should work together. We appeal to you people to form a government with Congress, JMM, RJD and strengthen the alliance. Whereas MP co-member JPC Maulana Mohibullah Nadvi said that BJP always wants to create division among Hindus and Muslims, but it will never succeed. When one issue ends, it brings up another issue. Jharkhand Government Minister Dr. Rameshwar Oraon said in his address that BJP is not backing down from conspiring. She deliberately wants to create unrest in the country. We will raise our voice against this bill and like Telangana, we will work against this bill in Jharkhand. Will talk to the Chief Minister in this regard. Whereas MP cum JPC member Imran Masood said in his address that it is not a fight for Waqf but a fight to save the Constitution. The BJP central government wants to capture Waqf land, that is, it wants to benefit its people. We will fight against this bill. Meanwhile, senior Congress leader Manzoor Ahmed Ansari said that Muslims are standing with the alliance, but have Muslims been included? With what mouth will we go to ask for votes, the coalition government has done everything for the Muslims. This will not work. Rural Development Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari said that we promise that we will not allow this bill to be brought, we will fight strongly. Recently Ayodhya Trust was formed, not a single Muslim was kept in it. So there was a need to bring a Hindu brother into the Waqf Trust. Because Hindus want to fight Muslims. Like Tilangana government, work will be done in Jharkhand also. Innocent boys are being harassed in the incident of June 10th. Now this will not happen. Former Bihar minister Javed Iqbal Ansari said that today there is a need to move together with each other. When the Sacher Committee report came during the Congress rule, why was it not implemented? Congress party is raising its voice against this bill. Whereas former minister Subodh Kant Sahay said that Manzoor Ansari, Anwar Ansari are sons of Gudari.
