With the city’s reputation as India’s ‘corporate capital’ and its notorious traffic woes, staying informed about such advisories becomes imperative for residents and visitors alike.

    Bengaluru Traffic Advisory

The advisory primarily focuses on regulating traffic flow around the venue of the Samvidhana Jagruthi Jatha, namely the Palace Grounds area. This strategic move aims to prevent gridlocks and ensure smooth movement for attendees and regular commuters alike. Special attention is directed towards Ballari Road and its adjacent areas, given their proximity to the event venue.

    Routes to Avoid

    1. Ballari Road Restrictions: Except for visitors heading to the Samvidhana Jagruthi Jatha, commuters are advised to refrain from using Ballari Road between Hebbal and Mehkri Circle.
    2. Restrictions on Jayamahal Road: Commuters are prohibited from accessing Jayamahal Road from Mehkri Circle to Cantonment Road, unless they are attendees of the event.
    3. Yeshwantpur-Mehkri Road Access: Travellers are advised against using the Yeshwantpur-Mehkri Road, except for those attending the Jatha.

With the implementation of these restrictions and advisories, commuters are urged to plan their routes well in advance to avoid inconvenience. Whether it’s adjusting travel times or exploring alternative routes, proactive measures can help in navigating Bengaluru’s bustling streets seamlessly.
As Bengaluru prepares for the Samvidhana Jagruthi Jatha, cooperation from residents and commuters is essential to ensure the smooth flow of traffic. • Road Transport and Highways Ministry Extends License Renewal Validity till February 29 | Auto News

In a recent development on Tuesday, February 20, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways issued an order extending the validity of Learner Licenses, Driving Licenses, and Conductor Licenses until February 29, 2024. This decision comes as a respite for those whose licenses were on the verge of expiry, particularly those scheduled to lapse on 31 January 2024 and 15 February 2024.

    Reasons For License Validity Extension

The Ministry’s decision was prompted by the challenges encountered by individuals in renewing their licenses, worsened by technical glitches within the infrastructure of the ‘Sarthi’ portal. Among the issues reported were difficulties in both license renewal and the conversion of Learner Licenses into Driving Licenses. Acknowledging the impact of these infrastructural hiccups, the Ministry deemed it necessary to extend the validity of licenses to accommodate affected individuals.
The Ministry highlighted infrastructure-related disruptions observed in the Sarathi portal between January 31, 2024, and February 12, 2024. These issues hindered the seamless provision of license-related services, leading to frustration among applicants striving to navigate the licensing process. In light of the challenges posed by technical glitches, the Ministry opted to extend the validity of Learner’s Licenses, Driving Licenses, and Conductor Licenses expiring between January 31, 2024, and February 15, 2024, until February 29, 2024. Importantly, no fines will be levied on affected individuals, ensuring their licenses remain valid without penalty.
As efforts to address the technical issues persist, affected individuals can now navigate the licensing process with renewed assurance.

    License Renewal

If you want to renew your driving license then there are a few points that you should keep in your mind. Check the points below:

    – Renewal applications should be submitted no earlier than one month before the license’s expiry date.

    – If an application is delayed by more than five years after the license expiry, the applicant must go through the entire process to obtain a new license.

    – Renewal applications made up to 30 days after the license expiry will be renewed from the expiry date.

    – Applications submitted more than 30 days after expiry will be renewed from the date of receipt, with an additional fee of Rs 30.

  • Nifty Hit Six New Record Highs This Year Indicating India’s Bull Market | Markets News

New Delhi: This year alone, Nifty has set six new record highs during intraday trade and this is indicative of the strong momentum in the market, says V K Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist, Geojit Financial Services.

An important characteristic of the bull market is its ability to set new successive record highs and this market has been doing this consistently, he said. Selling by FIIs, triggered by rising bond yields in the US, is having no impact on this up-trending market where DIIs bought Rs 17850 crores in February so far and domestic HNIs and retail investors are calling the shots, he added.

High quality fundamentally strong large caps like RIL, ICICI Bank and Bharti taking up the leadership in the rally is positive for the bulls. Also, it is important to remember that large caps have valuation comfort in this market where segments of the broader markets have tipped into frothy valuations. Since the Bank Nifty is around 4% away from its record high, more action is likely in banking stocks. (Also Read: Vibhor Steel Tubes Makes Dream Stock Market Debut, Gains 182% On Listing)

In the near term, volatility will be high. Sharp corrections can happen at any time, he said. Deepak Jasani, Head of Retail Research, HDFC securities, said Goldman Sachs upgraded its rating on global equities to “overweight” on prospects of economic growth and recovery in manufacturing activity, after starting the year with a “neutral” rating across assets.

Asian shares were pinned below 1-1/2 month highs on Tuesday as even a larger-than-expected interest rate cut in China failed to excite investors jaded at the lack of bigger stimulus measures, he said. BSE Sensex is trading at 72,726.89 points, up by 18.73 points. Powergrid is up by 3 per cent. (Also Read: Whirlpool Likely To Sell 24% Stake In Indian Unit Via Block Deal: Report)
