Tokyo, February 26 – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on a two-day visit to Japan, turned heads by experiencing the futuristic speed of the nation’s SCMaglev train. Clocking an astonishing 501 kilometers per hour, the UP CM shared a thrilling video on social media, showcasing the onboard speed display and stunning views from the high-speed ride in Yamanashi.

In his post, Yogi Adityanath marveled at the train’s stability despite the blistering pace. ‘Even at such high speeds, the journey felt smooth and steady, a testament to Japan’s unwavering commitment to innovation and world-class infrastructure,’ he wrote. He highlighted the SCMaglev as a next-generation high-speed system that promises clean, efficient mobility for the future.

The ride offered breathtaking sights, including a clear view of Mount Fuji, Japan’s iconic peak and UNESCO World Heritage site. ‘Seeing Mount Fuji on a bright, sunny day against this backdrop is a privilege,’ the Chief Minister noted, praising its symbolism of strength, discipline, and spiritual balance.

Yogi’s visit extended beyond the thrill of technology. In Yamanashi Prefecture, he engaged warmly with enthusiastic students who welcomed him with affection and curiosity. ‘Their innocence and zeal reflect the deep cultural bonds between India and Japan,’ he shared on X, blessing the young minds for a future filled with knowledge and success.

Strengthening ties further, Yogi held discussions with Yamanashi Governor Kotaro Nagasaki, signing an MoU to deepen collaboration in industry, tourism, and vocational education. Key focus areas include green hydrogen, clean energy innovations, and technology exchange. Uttar Pradesh is positioning IIT Kanpur as a Center of Excellence in green hydrogen to drive energy self-reliance, aligning with PM Narendra Modi’s vision for sustainability.

The Governor proposed leading a 200-CEO delegation to UP in August, a move Yogi welcomed to accelerate industrial partnerships and investments. This visit underscores Uttar Pradesh’s ambition to blend Japanese precision with Indian growth, paving the way for mutual prosperity.
