New Delhi, July 28 – Swiggy’s quick‑commerce arm Instamart announced a major leadership shift on Thursday. Amitesh Kumar Jha, who has been steering the fast‑growing platform, submitted his resignation effective immediately. The company confirmed that Jha will no longer be part of the senior management personnel team as he pursues other professional opportunities.
Replacing him, the board has appointed Nandita Sinha, the former chief executive of Mintra, to take charge of Instamart from August 3, 2026. Sinha brings more than two decades of experience in consumer‑focused businesses, having held senior roles at Flipkart, Britannia Industries and Hindustan Unilever Limited. Her background spans fashion, e‑commerce and FMCG, positioning her as one of India’s most seasoned internet‑consumer leaders.
Swiggy’s exchange filing praised Jha’s contributions during a critical phase of Instamart’s expansion, highlighting initiatives such as "Noice" that strengthened the brand’s identity and improved contribution margins. The outgoing CEO’s tenure is described as pivotal for the platform’s growth.
Group CEO Shriharsh Mazumdar said Sinha’s deep understanding of customer needs and operational expertise will be instrumental in driving Instamart to its next growth stage. He also thanked Jha for his leadership, noting the positive impact on the business.
The appointment comes at a time when Swiggy has seen a wave of senior departures after its recent listing, including a company secretary, independent directors and several senior Instamart officials.
