According to officials, the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project has dramatically improved Kashmir’s connectivity and freight-carrying capacity. This has reduced the pressure on road traffic and increased the speed of goods transportation. The arrival of the automobile rake in Kashmir is considered a major step in connecting the valley to the national freight network. This initiative is expected to accelerate trade activities and positively influence the local economy.
