TVS Motor is preparing to launch the NTorq 150 scooter on September 1st, marking a strategic expansion into the 150cc segment. The NTorq, launched in 2018, has been a successful model in the 125cc class, known for its style and connectivity features. The teaser reveals that the NTorq 150 will build on the original design, adding sharper lines and a more pronounced front-end appearance. LED lighting, including quad-projector headlights and distinctive T-shaped DRLs, will enhance its visual impact on the road.

Though engine specifics are still under wraps, the scooter is expected to be powered by a 150cc engine, producing approximately 12 bhp. It will contend with rivals such as the Yamaha Aerox 155, Aprilia SR 160, and the forthcoming Hero Zoom 160. The new TVS scooter may feature 14-inch wheels, a rear disc brake, and a connected system with a TFT screen, including various riding modes and connectivity options. TVS is promoting the scooter with the tagline “Don’t feel the same,” targeting adventure-seeking riders. Deliveries are anticipated to commence soon after the official release. The scooter might also have 14-inch alloy wheels on both ends, a first for a TVS model.

The original NTorq 125, launched in 2018, has maintained a strong presence in the sporty 125cc scooter segment in India for seven years, benefiting from updates and special editions, such as the Marvel Super Squad version. The new NTorq 150 intends to continue this trend with increased power, larger wheels, and an updated design.
