Following changes in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the removal of the cess on large vehicles, Toyota is implementing price reductions on its vehicle lineup. This move aims to provide relief to consumers. The new prices are set to be effective from September 22, 2025.

Toyota confirmed that its vehicles will see price cuts due to the revised GST rates. The company is advising customers to book their cars before the upcoming festive season to ensure they receive their vehicles on time. According to Toyota, these adjustments will make cars more affordable and foster confidence within the automotive industry. The government’s initiative is expected to stimulate demand, especially during the festive period.

    | Model | Price Reduction |
    | :——- | :————–: |
    | Glanza | 85,300 |
    | Taisor | 1,11,100 |
    | Rumion | 48,700 |
    | Hyryder | 65,400 |
    | Crysta | 1,80,600 |
    | Hycross | 1,15,800 |
    | Fortuner | 3,49,000 |
    | Legender | 3,34,000 |
    | Hilux | 2,52,700 |
    | Camry | 1,01,800 |
    | Vellfire | 2,78,000 |

    Price Cuts Across Toyota Models

Several Toyota models are seeing price reductions. The Fortuner experiences the most significant price drop, up to Rs 3.49 lakh. The Legender also benefits from a reduction, with cuts of up to Rs 3.34 lakh. The new ex-showroom price for the Fortuner starts at Rs 36.05 lakh, while the Legender starts from Rs 44.51 lakh.

Tax Implications of the New GST

The new GST structure has resulted in price reductions across most car segments. Small cars now have an 18% GST, down from 28%, leading to price decreases of 5% to 13%. Larger cars will be taxed at 40%. Previously, the combined GST and cess resulted in higher taxes. This adjustment reduces the overall tax burden by 3% to 10%. Luxury brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW, and Jaguar Land Rover, previously taxed at 50%, will now be taxed at 40%, which will result in lower prices.
