A SpiceJet passenger on a flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru had a particularly unpleasant experience, spending the entire flight locked inside the aircraft’s restroom. The door malfunctioned shortly after takeoff, trapping the passenger. Despite the crew’s attempts to rectify the situation, the door remained locked. In an effort to console the passenger, the crew slid a handwritten note under the door, instructing them to remain in the restroom until the plane landed in Bengaluru. The flight, which was significantly delayed, ultimately landed in Bengaluru at approximately 3:45 AM. Ground personnel were required to force the door open. SpiceJet has since apologized for the incident and reportedly offered a refund to the affected passenger. The event and the crew’s note sparked widespread amusement and commentary on social media.
