Tata Motors is gearing up to launch three new compact SUVs, aiming to gain a stronger foothold in the sub-4 meter segment. These upcoming models are expected to be priced under ₹10 lakh. The company plans to introduce two of the three SUVs within the next three years. The Tata Punch facelift is scheduled to be released in November. The Tata Punch facelift will likely come with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, upgrading from the current 7.0-inch display. Further enhancements are anticipated, including an improved driver display. The new Tata Punch is expected to offer the same 1.2-liter petrol and petrol-CNG engine options as the current model, along with both 5-speed manual and automatic manual transmission options. The existing Tata Punch CNG is equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, but the new Punch CNG might feature a 5-speed automated manual transmission.
In 2027, the second-generation Nexon (code-named: Garuda) is expected to be launched. This updated model may feature 1.2-liter petrol and petrol-CNG engine options. However, a 1.5-liter diesel engine option will not be available. The SUV is anticipated to include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Level 2 ADAS, and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. Additionally, Tata might introduce the Scarlet, a muscular SUV, designed to compete with the Mahindra Thar and Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
