Tata Motors, the leading electric car manufacturer in India, has upgraded its affordable electric vehicle, the Tata Punch EV, with fast charging capabilities and new color options. The car now comes in Pure Grey and Supernova Copper colors. With the fast charging feature, the Tata Punch EV can gain a 90 km range with a 15-minute charge, similar to the time it takes to enjoy a cup of tea at a charging station.
Following the update, the Tata Punch EV supports fast charging, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in just 40 minutes. Furthermore, the Punch EV can gain a 90-kilometer range in 15 minutes using a 50-kilowatt DC fast charger. However, fast charging is only available on the long-range variant.
**Battery and Range Options**
The Tata Punch EV is offered with two battery pack options. The mid-range version includes a 25 kWh battery, providing a range of up to 265 km on a single charge. The long-range version features a 35 kWh battery, with a range of up to 365 km on a single charge. The mid-range model is equipped with a single electric motor that generates 80 bhp and 114 Nm of torque. The long-range model has a more powerful motor, delivering 120 bhp and 190 Nm of torque. This electric SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.5 seconds and has a top speed of 140 km/h.

The Punch EV includes features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, a digital console, an air purifier, a 360-degree camera, and blind-spot monitoring, along with an electric sunroof. Safety features include 6 airbags, ESP, an electronic parking brake with an auto-hold function, and more.
