As a part of Raksha Bandhan celebrations, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles partnered with TV9 Network to launch a meaningful initiative. Under the name ‘Raksha Ka Bandhan,’ the women employees of the Durga Line at the Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles plant in Jamshedpur created rakhis specifically for truck drivers.
The women who work at the Durga plant contribute to the production of the safest trucks in India. These trucks feature crash-tested cabins and advanced safety features like ADAS, showing the company’s commitment to safety. To the women, these trucks are more than just equipment; they represent a way of life.
For the female workers, each truck driver represents family, regardless of their familiarity. The rakhis that the women created are not just threads, but also representations of prayers for safe travels and a pledge that their well-being is cared for.
The rakhis traveled from Jamshedpur to various locations, including Kalamboli Transport Nagar in Navi Mumbai. The rakhis were tied on truck drivers’ wrists at various locations. The drivers had an emotional assurance that their continuous journeys on India’s highways are significant and their safety is important.
The story was effectively captured by TV9 Network, which collaborated with Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles. The TV9 Network documented the entire process, from the rakhis’ preparation by the female employees to the drivers’ heartfelt messages, and the emotional moments of the rakhis being tied on the drivers’ wrists. These unique stories and videos were broadcast on TV9’s primary broadcast platforms, transforming a corporate initiative into a nationwide celebration of relationships.
Through this initiative, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles reaffirmed its emphasis on safety and care. The campaign served as a gesture to show respect to India’s truck drivers, who play a vital role in the nation’s progress and ensure that goods are delivered to every corner. The drivers were reminded that their travels are important, their safety is essential, and their connections matter.
