An unfortunate incident occurred on a SpiceJet flight traveling from Mumbai to Bengaluru, where a passenger was stuck inside the airplane’s toilet for the entire duration of the flight. The airline has issued an apology and, reportedly, offered a refund to the passenger. The event has become a viral topic online.

After the flight landed in Bengaluru, the passenger was freed when ground staff and engineers opened the malfunctioning toilet door. The flight was delayed, departing from Mumbai at 2:10 AM, significantly later than its scheduled departure time.

The passenger, seated in seat 14D, entered the restroom shortly after takeoff and got trapped due to the jammed door lock. Crew members attempted to assist, but the door remained locked. The crew then wrote a note to the trapped passenger, passing it under the door and requesting them to remain seated until the flight reached Bengaluru. This incident and the note have led to much discussion on social media.

The plane landed in Bengaluru around 3:45 AM. Engineers subsequently opened the door. SpiceJet has issued a statement of regret for the situation.
