Tata Motors has launched attractive offers for the festive season, making their cars more affordable. These offers are a combination of the recent GST rate reductions and additional festive discounts provided by Tata. Customers can potentially save up to ₹2 lakh, with the actual savings varying depending on the model purchased. These offers are available until September 30, 2025.
The SUVs from Tata are offering the biggest savings, led by the Nexon, Safari, and Harrier models, which offer potential savings of up to ₹2 lakh. This saving includes both the GST reduction and Tata’s festive offer. The Nexon benefits from a GST change resulting in approximately ₹1.55 lakh in savings, plus an additional ₹45,000 in festive offers. Safari and Harrier also provide substantial benefits, with savings of approximately ₹1.9 lakh each.
Hatchback models are also included in the offers, allowing for significant savings. The Altroz sees a total price reduction of approximately ₹1.76 lakh. Punch, Tiago, and Tigor are also benefiting from this price reduction. The Tiago gives savings of approximately ₹1.2 lakh. Tigor gives savings of ₹1.11 lakh.
The new GST 2.0, implemented on September 22, 2025, has lowered the prices of cars and SUVs in India. Small petrol/LPG/CNG cars (up to 1200cc and 4000mm length) and diesel cars (up to 1500cc, 4000mm length) are now taxed at 18%. Larger SUVs (engine exceeding 1500cc or length exceeding 4000mm) now have 40% GST.
