Renault India is focusing on expanding its presence, with the return of the Duster being a key component of this strategy. Having recently updated the Triber and Kiger models, the company is preparing to reintroduce the Duster in its latest iteration. While an official launch date is not yet announced, industry speculation points towards a debut in early 2026. The new Duster has already been introduced in South Africa at a price equivalent to ₹23.36 lakh. The previous Duster was discontinued in 2022. It’s return is expected to bolster Renault’s market presence in a highly competitive segment. The new Duster will compete against established models such as the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Hyundai Creta, MG Astor, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, and Citroën C3 Aircross. The Duster will be built on the CMF-B modular platform, with powertrain options that include a 1.6-litre strong-hybrid petrol engine, a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system, and a 1.0-litre petrol-LPG dual-fuel engine.
