The next-generation Renault Duster is gearing up for an early 2026 launch in India, manufactured at the Renault Nissan facility in Chennai. The initial launch will focus on petrol-powered models, with turbo-petrol variants on the horizon. Hybrid versions are planned to be introduced within a year of the initial rollout. Internationally, the Duster features a hybrid system based on a 1.6-liter petrol engine and two electric motors, delivering around 140Hp. The Duster will be built on the CMF-B platform, which supports various powertrain technologies, including hybrid and electric. The India-bound Duster is expected to be a rebadged Dacia Duster, offering a choice of Hybrid 140, TCE 130, and Bi-Fuel 100 powertrains. The launch sequence will likely begin with petrol variants, followed by hybrid and CNG options. The TCE 130 configuration provides 4×4 capabilities and a mild hybrid setup, featuring a 48V battery and a 1.2-liter turbo petrol engine. Additionally, a CNG/LPG variant, mirroring the international model, may be offered to cater to cost-conscious consumers. The Hybrid 140 setup combines a new petrol engine with two electric motors and an automatic transmission.
