    With the introduction of the new GST 2.0 in India, the automotive industry is experiencing a wave of price adjustments. Automakers are transferring the benefits of the revised tax structure to consumers. The price reductions extend across various vehicle types, but are especially relevant to the motorcycle market. The adjustments are expected to stimulate sales, particularly in the budget-friendly segments.

    The most noticeable price cuts are for motorcycles with engines under 350cc. The GST rate has been reduced from 38% to 18% for this category. This means reduced prices for popular models like Hero Splendor, Honda Activa, Bajaj Pulsar, TVS Apache, and Royal Enfield Classic 350. This pricing shift could be particularly appealing to new buyers, and is expected to have a positive effect on sales, especially during the festive season. Price reductions are as follows:

    For motorcycles with engine capacities above 350cc, the GST policy has changed, subjecting them to a 40% GST. This change will affect the pricing of higher-end models in the 450cc to 650cc range. These are the expected price reductions:
