An unusual situation unfolded on a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru, where a passenger spent the entire flight trapped inside the aircraft’s lavatory. The airline has since issued an apology and reportedly offered the passenger a refund, but the situation has become a talking point.

The trapped passenger was freed after the plane landed in Bengaluru. The ground crew and engineers worked to open the malfunctioning toilet door. The incident took place on Monday night, with the flight departing Mumbai at 2:10 AM, after a delay from its original 10:55 PM schedule.

The passenger, in seat 14D, entered the lavatory shortly after takeoff and found themselves unable to exit. The door lock was jammed. The crew attempted to unlock it, but without success. The crew then passed a handwritten note under the door, asking the passenger to remain calm and stay seated on the toilet seat until the flight landed. The incident sparked amusement among social media users. The flight landed in Bengaluru around 3:45 AM. The airline has acknowledged the inconvenience and apologized to the passenger.
