Hyundai commemorates ten years in the Indian market with the release of the Creta King, King Knight, and King Limited special editions. These new editions feature changes to the exterior, interior, and feature sets, aiming to capitalize on the SUV’s popularity in the expanding mid-size segment.
Price Structure of the Hyundai Creta: The entry-level E variant of the Hyundai Creta starts at an ex-showroom price of approximately ₹11.10 lakh. Prices increase through the EX (₹12.32 lakh), S (₹13.54 lakh), and S(O) (₹14.48 lakh) variants. The new King editions are priced higher, with the King variant ranging from ₹17.88 lakh to ₹20.61 lakh depending on the engine and gearbox. The King Knight and King Limited editions are at the top end, exceeding ₹20 lakh.
Key Features: The King editions boast distinctive 18-inch alloy wheels, along with matte black paint and unique badging. Interior enhancements include a driver seat memory function, an 8-way powered passenger seat with a walk-in function, and a seat-back table with cup holders. The King Limited variant includes branding on cushions, mats, and key covers, while the King Knight showcases matte alloy wheels.
Broader Feature Enhancements: Notably, Hyundai has expanded these improvements across the Creta range. Features such as dual-zone climate control with a touch panel, a dashcam, and wireless smartphone connectivity are also included in models like the Creta N Line. This reflects the trend of consumers seeking more premium features without necessarily opting for the most expensive variants.
Engine and Transmission: The 1.5 petrol, 1.5 diesel, and 1.5 turbo-petrol engines remain unchanged and are offered with manual, CVT, automatic, and DCT gearboxes. The Limited and Knight trims are exclusively available with automatic transmissions, appealing to customers looking for a more premium driving experience.
