The Indian compact SUV segment is experiencing a surge in new vehicles, giving consumers more choices than ever before. Maruti Suzuki has launched the Victoris to challenge the dominance of the Hyundai Creta. This article compares these two SUVs, looking at their engines, mileage, features, and prices.

**Price Comparison: Which SUV Offers Better Value?**
The Maruti Suzuki Victoris base petrol LXi variant is priced at approximately ₹10.49 lakh, while the top-end strong hybrid model costs ₹19.98 lakh. Maruti offers petrol, hybrid, and CNG options.

The Hyundai Creta starts at around ₹10.73 lakh (ex-showroom), with top models priced up to ₹24 lakh. The Creta has more variants, including petrol, diesel, and turbo versions. While the Victoris may be slightly cheaper, the Creta’s various options make the competition even.

**Engine and Performance: Which SUV Performs Better?**
The Victoris offers a 1.5-liter petrol engine, a strong hybrid engine, a CNG option, and an all-wheel-drive configuration. The base petrol manual delivers about 21.18 km/liter. It has a ground clearance of 210 mm.

    **Creta Engine Options**
The Hyundai Creta offers 1.5-liter petrol, diesel, and turbocharged engines. Mileage varies, but it is around 17-18 km/liter for most buyers. The Creta also has a long-lasting diesel engine, which is still quite popular in several parts of India.

    **Features Showdown: Victoris vs Creta**
The Maruti Victoris comes with features that give it a premium look, including Level 2 ADAS, a Dolby Atmos-tuned Infinity Harman sound system, Alexa voice control, and a 10.25-inch digital cluster. Safety features include a five-star Bharat NCAP rating and multiple airbags. The Creta offers LED lighting, wireless charging, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and ADAS in its higher trims.
