In a significant move, Maruti Suzuki India has partnered with the Rajasthan Transport Department to establish 21 Automated Driving Test Tracks (ADTTs) across various cities in the state. This agreement, formalized through an MoA, is part of Maruti Suzuki’s CSR efforts and aims to modernize the driving license testing process. The project will cover 20 cities including major urban centers like Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Udaipur. The new tracks will incorporate advanced technology, such as high-definition cameras and IT systems, improving the efficiency and transparency of the license testing process.

The Rajasthan government views this initiative as a vital component of its Road Safety Action Plan, with expectations of reducing road accidents through automated testing. Maruti Suzuki has already established similar automated tracks in several other states, further expanding its footprint in the realm of road safety and driver training.
