Mahindra has revealed the Vision S concept, generating buzz. It appears designed to join the Scorpio family including the Scorpio N and Classic Scorpio, alongside other concept vehicles such as X, T, and SXT.

The Vision S features a unique exterior design, with LED headlights, an LED-enhanced grille, and the Mahindra logo. The front bumper incorporates a radar unit and parking sensors. Unique design elements include roof-mounted lights and pixel-shaped fog lamps. For off-road capability, the SUV is equipped with thick cladding along the doors and wheel arches. It rides on 19-inch wheels, and features side-mounted cameras instead of traditional ORVMs.

At the rear, the Vision S uses inverted tail lamps and a reflector unit that mirrors the Bolero Neo, while a spare wheel is mounted on the tailgate with Vision S branding.

Inside, the Vision S features a new design, including a steering wheel with VISION S lettering and a fully digital driver’s display. The infotainment system is expected to use Mahindra’s NU UX system, offering wireless smartphone connectivity. The cabin features dual-tone upholstery, redesigned door trims, premium seats, a panoramic sunroof, and grab handles.

The Vision S is built on Mahindra’s NU-IQ platform, capable of supporting SUVs between 3,990 mm and 4,320 mm in length. This versatile platform accommodates petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric powertrains, and supports front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive layouts.

An ICE version seems probable due to the fuel cap, potentially offering a 1.2-litre turbo petrol or a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Variable-ratio steering is anticipated to enhance handling.
